Eisenhower is nice. I have house guests Saturday night so I'm only open to a full day on Monday. I want to get back to Thomas again but I hear it is better in the Spring and Fall beause of poison ivy and other under growth ( I don't know for sure) . I'm up for whatever on Monday though.

You guys should make the long trip out to Eisenhower if you haven't played there yet... Well worth the drive in my opinion.
Rick Petrie May 24, 2012 at 5:18am
... I probably should have also included that Saturday is out for me. So I would prefer Sunday.

Hmmm... a one day disc golf road trip? My favorite way to play!
However Salina/Abline courses do much for me...

Does anyone have -- or would anyone like to make -- disc golf plans over the holiday weekend? I've never played Thomas Park in Salina, but I'd like to, maybe with the Abilene course or the other Salina course thrown in. I've also been wanting to try the Living Waters course, but I don't even know where it is, precisely. I would entertain other proposals ad well.

If you want to see a larger version of the DFOK group pic, go here --> http://www.discgolfscene.com/courses/Tuttle_Creek_State_Park_River_Pond/Hole_18/44698
It will actually let you zoom in...
Look at it soon because it probably shouldn't be posted here. :-)

No sweat Mark. So many people were leaving at such different times that I don't think any big DFOK dinner group ever materialized. I was interested in breaking bread with some DFOKers afterwords, but it just wasn't in the cards. We'll have to have a cookout at Tuttle sometime this summer though.
I'll admit, I wasn't overly eager to leave & eat dinner somewhere. I was enjoying talking with DFOKers that were still around, plus networking with some players from acros ...

DFOK is officially out there now. Nice job, everyone that placed. Sorry I ran off instead of going out to eat. I was ready for some downtime.

Good luck everyone

If you have not signed up for the tournament tomorrow and want to play, you might want to pre register: http://www.dynamicdiscs.com/disc-golf-tournaments/2012/Little-Apple-Open.html
It sounds like there is a chance that it could fill up.
Mark Kewley May 18, 2012 at 11:27pm
We'll have to see how the weather is going after the tournament: http://www.wibw.com/imageViewer?url=http://gray.ftp.clickability.com/wibwwebftp/extended.jpg&width=640&height=436&title=8%20Day%20Forecast
Might need to have players party another day?
Jon Tveite May 18, 2012 at 7:05pm
I got myself signed up for the big tourney tomorrow. Looking forward....
The doubles round controversy is no big deal. I just thought I'd give Dakota a chance to practice his skills in rhetorical argumentation. I can't teach him much about disc golf, but I do know a lot about rhetoric.

With so many DG visitors in town this weekend, you're sure to hear the question "What is DFOK?".
Don't sell us short by saying "It's the Manhattan disc golf club". Please remember that we a have a lot of members from a three county area (Geary, Riley & Pottawatomie), plus a few members from other parts of the state. Thus the name is meant to reflect that demographic.
With that said though, please be sure to say that we're NOT trying to overrun th ...

anybody want to help set up the temp. DFOK tee signs between 4 & 5 Friday night?
Mark Kewley May 18, 2012 at 6:10am
I'm not 100% I'll be camping after the tournament or have enough energy for this but I picked up enough glow sticks to light up 9 holes Saturday night.
Rick Petrie May 18, 2012 at 5:46am
Zane, We are heart broken that you are no longer around here.
Keep up the good work down there in the peach state!
Rick Petrie May 18, 2012 at 3:22am
Before this debate gets too intense, I should probably point out we're only looking at $4 for doubles + an optional $1 CTP. NOT $20 like DD was going to do.
Also keep mind this very same course hosts a Best Throw format on every single Tuesday night for many many months... but this Friday is NOT part of that league.

Hey, Beastie Boy: It's customary to give a reason if you're taking a position "strongly against" a proposal.
Austin Cranston May 24, 2012 at 7:55am
I'm open saturday and monday. I love thomas and was wanting to play abilene before the tournament coming up. Living water is pretty lame from what i remember and nothing compared to the other options that are listed.
