Can't make it to the Glass Blown Open tournament this weekend? Follow DFOK on Twitter to see what's going on in Emporia (including pics). Go to https://twitter.com/#!/D_F_O_K [You are not required to have Twitter account]

"I have at least two contacts at Tuttle that we can contact to get wood chips "
It aint the lady in the guard house. She didn't want to hear anything about wood chips.

Adam,
Since the Thursdays meeting, I have been focusing on getting ready for the GBO. I figured after this weekend I would jump back into the DFOK stuff...
Here are my thoughts:
- A specific person took notes during Thursday meeting. I am supposed to be receive those notes ASAP, then will post them. Probably in PDF form on www.discgolfkansas.com/ with a link posted on discgolfscene
(f.y.i. Not to be confused with meeting "minutes" b/c we're not an official club yet)
- We ...

I played tuttle with josh and mark of the weekend and tried to pay attention to the baskets to see what to focus on for our work day. The most glaring change is the chains on no. 3. Beyond that no. 6 has a bar missing on the basket the a disc can fit though. Also several baskets, no. 6 and no. 14 need to be more secure as they have a wobble. I don't know if the wobble helps or hurts the function but it not very sturdy. Also mark had the great idea of having a work area and bring the ba ... more

WELL DONE ADAM! I cleaned up Warner around 3pm, then went to Fairmont to work on my flat lander drives. After picking up trash at one course I didn't have it in me to clean up that place too.
Yes, there were a few cans around in the afternoon... but was nowhere near that many (ie: maybe 1 can at 7). Sounds like you took care of a group that played there after I did.
Personally, I think Fairmont needs a trash can attached to every tee post.

So while cleaning up at fairmont and playing 18 I decided to see if there was any one hole that had the most beer cans and interpret those results as to mean the most stress full hole that induces immediate shot gunning of beer. The winner tonite was no. 8 with 7 beer cans.

Daisuke,
I might end up at Warner Park (partially to play & partially to pick up trash). I will be sure to look for your disc.
What color should I be looking for?

Hey all you people out there who are thinking of going down to watch the Pro's in the Glass Blown Open (in Emporia on April 13-15)! Here's a link that should show the tee times for all players throughout the weekend.

No, I'm not necessarily what you would call a "fan" of any professional disc golf players. However, completely understand why some of you are... their talent is amazing.. Anyhoo, with all that said, I ...

Anyone want to play a tag round at tuttle at 5:30 tonight. The ground will be wet but it looks like only a %10 chance of rain at that time. I hope to see some people then. Ofcourse if you have anything you want to trade or sell we can do that also.
Mark Kewley April 6, 2012 at 7:37am
DFOK just went to the next level. The 1st official club meeting took place at the public library tonight.
Thanks to Rick for getting the ball rolling!

Rick, Thursday evenings would normally be all right, except the third of the month. I just happen to be out of town this week. Have a good one a keep me in the loop.

I could swear that I had a dream in which I was playing disc golf in the exact setting in your #5 basket photo. That was before ever seeing this course. Freaky! Sweet pics though.

If any of you guys are interested, here are some of the pics from my weekend at Flyboy... Not only is the course absolutely mind-blowing, but the whole Flyboy experience is unforgettable.

Jon,
Sorry you'll miss the first meeting. That one is on me for announcing it on such short notice. I promise to do a better job of scheduling the next meeting, I suspect we'll want another one in a couple weeks anyway...
Also, I doubt we'll make a lot of big & permanent decisions on Thursday...at least I don't think that will be appropriate just yet.
I just wanted to spark some conversations so people can start thinking about them, plus hear the great ideas that other people have been thinking about. Thus a brainstorming meeting.
Anyhoo... what day & time would work best for you?

Sorry, someone hacked my profile at the GBO. I had to beat them in the final round. :)
