I'd play Fairmont if anyone goes at 5. A little rain should be no biggie as long as it isn't pouring. Give me a heads up and I'll head out there.

I might go to Fairmont if the rain isn't that bad at 5:00. I'm not going to try Warner.

Weather is a bit ugly today, so I may stay inside today... Tomorrow (Thursday 26th) appears to be better.

We skipped Abilene today, Warner was just too tempting to go back to after the perfect weather this morning...and then another glow round at Tuttle. I think I'm sitting at aboiut 90 holes for the weekend. I think we'll likely hit Abilene tomorrow and maybe make it out to Salina or somewhere new as well.
I'll let you know about the baskets. I played there in the fall, the course looked great and I was very surprised by how much fun it was to play considering I showed up to it thinking it was just "another course under the belt".

I'm out.
After playing 9 with the DD gang this morning (+ the 36 in the tourney yesterday), I'm beat.
Have fun in Abilene, that a nice little course. It has lots of shade and should be pretty protected from the wind.
I'll be curious to hear how those baskets are holding up.
Kevin Zane May 22, 2011 at 9:10pm
If anyone is interested in a round today, I'll be playing Tuttle in about 20 minutes then maybe Abilene(sp?). Just shoot me a message and we can meet up.

Looks like there were 8 Manhattan area players and / or DfoKers that cashed at the LAO 2011 and 3 that won their division. Very nice...
And how about Tulp winning it all & getting an “ACE†on the throw off for the ace money. Too cool.

If you try this in Tuttle, you may want to pay attention to goose drops also.
Kevin Zane May 20, 2011 at 9:19am
I'll be there... Judging by the current registration (and lack of tournament experience), I'm trying not to second guess my decision to play advanced but I think it will be a lot of fun regardless. I just hope I can get in the top half of the division :.

LITTLE APPLE OPEN ROLL CALL: How many of your DFoK members out there are going to be playing in the Little Apple Open in a couple days? (May 21)
Hopefully we can defend our home turf pretty well this coming weekend. May you all log in some personal best rounds!
Let's do it up right! Good luck to all!

BTW, Sorry for not getting any photos of the winners last night. I also wanted a Final Round group photo, but I failed to do that too. (Still shaking my head)
I think it slipped my mind because I was more involved than usual in getting the scores & tags finalized, plus I wanted to get the baskets moved.
Thanks again to everyone who participated last night! You all made the final round with these tags a success!
Later tonight I will post "News" about the final round & summarize the season.

If you try this in Tuttle, you may want to pay attention to goose drops also.
Rick Petrie May 18, 2011 at 6:35am
Agreed. If we tried this at Warner someone would end up dead, or at least in the hospital for a month.
Mark Kewley May 18, 2011 at 6:23am
Better try this at Fairmont so you don't hurt yourself.
Rick Petrie May 17, 2011 at 8:44am
We are going to have to try this type of competition very soon!

Taki, sounds like you've already been training for it.

Just in case you didn't know there's only 6 days until the Little Apple Open disc golf tournament in Manhattan, KS.

I'm already committed to Tuttle Tuesday & Warner Wednesday this week so that means I'm out for Muddy Monday (tonight). Sorry.
But considering there's now 42 "DFoKers" all over the Manhattan area, you'll probably see a couple on any course
tonight. :-)
Kevin Zane April 25, 2011 at 7:57pm
so if the rain holds up at all, I just got a lot of new discs and am dying to get out and play today if anyone is interested.
Rick Petrie April 24, 2011 at 1:20am
Kevin, apparently mark and c. Moe are going to Tuttle at 5:15 today. I might tag along, I might tag along too.
Mark Kewley May 26, 2011 at 1:50am
From the looks of the radar, it should be ok. I should be there about 5:15.
