I learned to play and love the sport on this course. I've seen it change through the years, for better or worse. I've lost a few discs here, and that sucks, but it really is a pretty good course. I've also gotten a few parking tickets.
Anyway, the course is great at challenging the variety of throws in your arsenal. Every different throw can be used here, and if used effectively, will result in a good round.

Wouldnt recommend playing here during late summer or fall when the brush/grass gets taller unless you like walking in circles looking for discs. It is quite easy to toss your disc only 10 feet off the fairway and spend 10 minutes looking for it even if you are walking within 5 feet of if. The course itself is decent, long and short tees for many of the holes, and a few alternate pin placesments. If there is one great thing about this course, it does not favor any one player, aka lefties or ri ...

Worth the 1:45 drive from Hammond Indiana i would say. Campus and course up keeping was beautiful. If you are a beginner this is a rough one to start on. The rough is per say "very rough". Grass and weeds are tall and makes any disc color hard to see. Also signs could use some T.L.C, or new ones. Also some holes are hard to find with no directions on where the next hole is. other than that this was a nice course. if you want to really play a A+ course please try my home course of Lemon Lake in Crown Point Indiana. There's a reason why the Worlds have been there 2 times in the last 4 years

We parked in the UWP lot on the north side of the campus and started in on the Parkside 18-hole course, and fully planned to do both courses this afternoon. It only took a few holes to realize that most of the course was going to be a mud-slugging adventure, and after maybe the third hole the three of us were a complete mess. We wore appropriate footwear so the mud wasn't going to stop us. As for the course, we really enjoyed it, less a lot of bush beating to dig out errant discs. I'll inter ...

More challenging than the 18 hole longer drives more elivation really fun natural tees ( yust deal with it ) it's hard to find but verry close to where you get parking permit yust walk the dead end road and look for the trail on your left . First 9 holes are on that side you cross the road for 10- 21

I grew up playing parkside in the early 2000s and at the time this course A+ material. Since returning once a year I only notice decline in maintenance in both groundskeeping, signage and constant construction overflow. At present the hole designs and variety still obtain a c score for me, but some love could bring it back.

Let me first say my home course is Fox River Park. The holes seem short, should be a fairly easy course to birdie every hole if you play more than once. I give it a B for no signage on location. I really liked the elevated man made tee boxes, I sometimes found myself lost due to no markers to next hole.
