Great little course, played fairly quick on the weekend. It was a bear to locate the course as nothing is clearly marked...Somers Rd. or Hwy E - East towards lake michigan.. go past the parkside entrance to Wood Rd and hang a left or head north to Inner loop Road. After getting through the round about the course is on your left hand side, park in the first lot to your right and walk over...Well maintained.

Kinda confused about the naming of "East" and "West" for these Parkside courses... The little-used, 21-hole course past the Health building is further East... Can anyone clear up the Names as posted here? And why does hardly no one know about these other 21 holes on the campus?
Also if a name change can't be done just think of where the lake is and that will give you east. :)
Agree with the "rough condition" part, although mostly this is due to the high Prairie grasses, which paradoxically grow rampant because few players have "broken" it in. Great layout of holes, though.
The PDGA site Lists them as "East" and "West" however I think that they should be named like they are on dgcoursereview as "Parkside" (rather than West) and "The Orchard" (rather than East). As for the lack of knowledge of the Orchard course I have found that ... more

As for the lack of knowledge of the Orchard course I have found that due to the very rough condition of the course not too many people play it. It is best played with at least 4 people to assist as spotters for throws that stray for the fairway.
