Matthew Hull 35 - Regular tees, 9 holes "My friend Michael S. celebrated his birthday today and he wanted to play some disc golf together so I let him choose the venue and to Mason Sports Park we went! It was a really nice day too (50 degrees with a light breeze) and we both had our moments for sure (good and bad). My Star Roadrunner hit a nice line on #1 while my Star Beast was superb on Holes #6 and 9. I had plenty of nasty throws that landed in really difficult spots though. I thought that Michael was going to beat me (fitting since today was his birthday after all) but he got a 7 on the final hole which gave me the two stroke win. Neither one of us really played all that well but it was still a good time."Saturday, September 5, 2020

Matthew Hull 34 - Regular tees, 9 holes "I *FINALLY* played a new course! It's been well over a year since I last experienced a completely new disc golf course so this was a real treat today. My friend Michael S. and I were going to head to Miami U. - Oxford but due to all the rain we got this week, Michael recommended this place instead. It's actually a pretty cool nine hole course although you NEED a spotter on certain holes for sure. Some of the holes are very wooded and one errant throw will have you looking for your lost disc for a long time. In any case, this round didn't start out great thanks to me three putting on the hilly an-hyzer Hole #1. However, I managed to have a pretty good intro round overall. I went with my Defender on #3 and it hit a beautiful hyzer line there. My drive of the round, however, was without a doubt my Sword toss on Hole #8! It is a downhill hole with a stream and plenty of trees in the way and I somehow threw my Sword with way too much turn yet it squeaked all the way through and landed on the other side of the bank! It was pretty lucky for sure but it felt great seeing that drive slice through some leaves/branches and make it as far as it did. Unfortunately, I blew a great Sword drive on the nearly 600 ft. Hole #9 with one of the worst tree kicks EVER on my second throw. It was a rough go from there. I should probably mention that it was 93 degrees and super humid (and windy!) today so overall, I wasn't too upset with my score."+5
Matthew Hull 32 - Regular tees, 9 holes "We were only going to play one round but you know how that goes. ;) My Star Roadrunner hit an even better line this round and I made a nice 18-20 ft. putt for my first ever birdie @ Mason Sports Park! I then followed up with a nice rainbow Champion Destroyer drive on #2 (possibly my favorite hole...it's a 309 ft. downhill hole with trees in the way). Unfortunately, I did not execute well on several holes in a row but at least I picked things up on #6 and 7 to snatch pars there. I played #9 MUCH better too!"Friday, May 3, 2019
