You saw a sign, Ben?

Ben Calhoun    September 29, 2010 at 11:38pm

Good to know..went out today. Most people won't know it's closed ahead of time. I only noticed the sign after 2 rounds, when it is closed, you will need more signs at the entrance/tee #1.

Mike, it's not closed yet. The construction was delayed due to the rain yesterday. I'm waiting on a call from the park to make the announcement.

Just a reminder: The concrete pads are being installed this week. THE COURSE IS CLOSED. I will be sure to let everyone know when it is reopened, in all of it's concreted glory

Plus the winds won't be in full effect until mid November. Why on earth would you want to play the Picnic with anything less than 30 MPH winds?

One bad apple ruins the bunch. Lesson to be learned here: don't be an asshole.

Course goes in full time November 15th. Same thing as last year. Too many incidents and accidents with the nature class and picnicers.

did i read that right? the picnic course baskets are going in for the weekend of Coop finale and union strikes but will be pulled for two weeks only to be re-installed 2-3 weeks later. what is the reasoning for this? are they worried about hitting sungazers around the beach?

I went out with the park staff this morning and outlined all 18 black tees with orange marking paint. Please do your best to not disturb the paint as it needs to stay there until Tuesday when they start to dig the concrete. Getting closer...
