The Howell Park DGC (Scout's Honor DGC) was designed and built by a local group of Eagle Scouts, many, many eons ago. Local legend has it, that upon completion of the course, the scouts finally sprouted their magnificent wings, and flew away into the sunset, where they were soon all hit by a passing airplane.
This open, short, nine-holed course, tucked into the outer perimeter of Bremen's old, Howell Park, is a simple and approachable course, that will punish those who over-throw or miss long, not just with strokes to their card, but with possible damages to buildings or vehicles! The park also features a competitive horse shoe area, built in celebration of the 1994 horse shoe world champion, who lived in the area (Yes, seriously.).
During the warm months, Howell Park DGC seats a regular, rotating gallery, nestled behind the first hole basket, on the back patio of the Pub N' Grub. It pays to learn to putt under pressure! less
