Rick Petrie 67 - Discs Unlimited Open (18 holes), 18 holes "MORNING round of the 2016 DU Open Tournament. (shotgun start on #11)
Words cannot describe how "off" I felt all day, even on the fairways I shot par or better.
A large majority of my problems are as follows; (1) up shots that fall too short, (2) putts getting tossed around too much by the wind... always a struggle, but his month (March-ish) has been very problematic for me.
I keep hearing great things about a DD Suspect for upshots & long putts in extreme wind conditions... time to start working on them.
I am very much looking forward to the hot & calm summer weather conditions... it might feel miserable, but at least I can play well in those conditions."+16

Rick Petrie 66 - Herington Country Club (DU Open), 18 holes "Started off the morning on Hole #1. Probably played way too conservative, especially the first 5 fairways. I lacked athletic energy all day long... thus I played very flat."+4
Rick Petrie 58 - Discs Unlimited Open (18 holes), 18 holes "Started the afternoon on Hole #4 (throwing across the pond, going south). Didn't warm-up enough after the lunch break to make that shot to the island. Still lacked athletic energy... thus I didn't "go for it" on many of the birdie-able fairways on this course. Simply played too conservative/safe. By the end of the day, my neck & shoulders were shot... old man alert!"Saturday, March 29, 2014

The layout was different than in previous years, due to bridge construction on an adjacent street... thus 3 replacement fairways from around the lake were replaced with new ones. (felt sick as a dog in the morning round)."-2

The layout was different than in previous years & the morning round, due to bridge construction on an adjacent street... thus 3 replacement fairways from around the lake were replaced with new ones. (I felt than better in the morning round, but could not make up enough ground. Only shot one stroke worse than last year (124), but finished 8th instead of last years 2nd.)."Monday, April 8, 2013

Jon Tveite 67 - Discs Unlimited Open (20 holes), 20 holes "This was my morning round at the Discs Unlimited Open. It was breezy and I wasn't throwing particularly well. I started on #8 and hit a rough patch soon after, going +4 on #10-12. After that I leveled off and just made an occasional bogey, but couldn't manage any birdies."+2
Jon Tveite 62 - Discs Unlimited Open (20 holes), 20 holes "I started on #8 in the afternoon and played better, making birdies on four of my first seven holes, with only short par putt missed on #10 to regret. Then I leveled off again for a while, before taking a second ugly bogey on short #19 and throwing my drive OB on #20. I parked my drive on the intimidating water hole, #3, but failed to hit the tiny fairways on #5 and #6. Overall, not a bad round, but should have been better. (My card started on hole #8)
Hole 10: Drive in the brushy/nasty stuff on left side of fairway.
Hole 20: Worm burner drive into grass trying to skip off road, then lame upshot.
Hole 3: Landed on bridge. Chained out birdie putt, but still fun to putt from there.
Hole 4 & 5: Poor strategy beside/across pond.
Hole 7: Last hole of our round, griplock drive towards."-1
