Pros: beautiful location and kept in remarkable shape since it is on a golf course. good mixture of long and short holes and elevation changes.

Cons: tee pads need to be leveled. required to play both DG holes at the same time for each Golf hole.

Overall: It is a good course and I enjoy playing in the weekly tournament but I wouldn't play much more than that due to the cost.

Great dual-purpose, fairly challenging course. I really like playing with my friends who golf and its quite the popular place.

The maintenance of the pads leaves a lot to be desired, so a lot of the time people will tee off next to the pad. Still, it's a fun course with a nice professional/golf feel.

Concrete Tees added, Sept. 21. It is now an amazing place to throw. Full on bomber course! Full DISClosure: I was the primary course designer here. I'll do my best to give an objective opinion. Hilly, lots of distance, often windy, more open than most disc golf courses because it's a golf course and the disc golf course follows the flow of golf (i.e. it doesn't criss cross the golf fairways). It's a place where you can air it out, but don't fool yourself into thinking that it's not technical ...

Emerald Hills is a peach of a course. The Elks of Redwood City have really utilized the rolling hills in this little valley well for both disc and ball golf. This course is a bombs away flight pattern. Bring your 400 foot drives, 300' approaches and 50' putts to cash in on some of these Par 4s. I hit the top of Basket 2 with my 280' approach shot; "Lefty Birdy 3". That is the closest I have come to an Eagle-2 on this course and that's what makes Emerald Hills so much fun.

Dual purpose course. Primarily a ball golf course, but 2 disc golf baskets, tee pads and signs were installed for all 9 holes which allows the course to play like a 36-hole course. On the day that we played, Hole 1 was off limits as construction/excavation was being done on the water hazard there. Hole 2 was quite hard to find, too, (across the fairway, and up a dirt path to a grassy knoll). Head employee in the pro shop is resentful about people who only pay $5 through GolfNow.com. The reg ...

Pros: The course itself is absolutely beautiful. The views on these holes is reason enough to play it. The dual pin positions (red/blue) with the dual tee-pad locations offer the ability to play Alt or Main layouts to switch things up - offering a wide array of shots. Pro shop offers beers/snacks Cons: You're pretty much only encouraged to play on Thursdays ($10) as that's the best rate. Any other day and the price is >$20. There are plans to get this improved, but for now thats it. Play Thur ...
