It's a city park with a bunch of woods, sidewalks and many a challenge. Yes it could be better kept, but that's the fun. The wooded holes test your accuracy The next ring of holes dodge in and out of brushy patches. Leaving long clear drives mixed with a few obstacles. Look forward to playing this course after a good haircut. A good time was had by all. - Bring extra discs, the overgrowth get hungry some times.

Challenging course that punishes those who stray from the fairway. Holes 8-12 are where the strokes can be made back if you struggle in the woods. Most of the "tall" grass is dead right now due to winter. Love this course.

Challenging, well maintained 18-hole course that follows the creek through Benbrook Ranch area of Leander. I just took up disc golf a year ago, and play this course multiple times a week. (I am blessed to live close.) Great mix of shots, par 3 and par 4 holes. No “filler,” every hole has a little something interesting. The Hill Country Hyzers club has regular course workdays and coordinates upkeep with the city, with great results. If you haven’t been to Benbrook since the redesign (March 2023) you owe it to yourself to get out here!

No tee signs or cement pads. The course isn't groomed all that well and is very simple in design. It's the closest to my house so I use it as a driving range mostly on the first hole. Not really worth playing unless you like to get torn up by thorns.

Good tee signs, stone tablets, but no pads, all natural. The ground around some tees are worn and torn up. The parks and rec department have been mowing the fairways pretty weekly the last couple of months.
The holes are a good mixture of open and challenging heavily wooded holes. There is water in play on 2 holes, 5 and 17. You will need accuracy and a "straight" game on several holes. If you get off the fairways, you will pay in score and scratches from thorns. It can get ugly quick. Overall, I find this course challenging and fun, unless I am having a really bad day hitting my lines.

My favorite course in the North Austin area. Challenging variety of shots with a lot of risk/reward decisions. Looking forward to new tees and signs.

As of June 2023, we have 18 new concrete tee pads, new baskets & an ALL-NEW layout. The Hill Country Hyzers and the Leander Parks & Recreation Department have put in a LOT of work to make this course more player-friendly. It is a fairly technical course with tunnel shots and thick underbrush off the fairway. The routing follows a creek on 15 holes, with ponds in play on holes 4 & 17. There are six par 3's of 275+ feet, seven par 4’s, and there are a few open holes which allow players to full-send distance drivers.
