Enjoyed my yearly viewing. Always a fun watch. “It’s a case of French-frying when you needed to pizza”..

Hello day 1!

How is the course?

Sincerely, day 2.

Bit of a struggle here today. Air temp is very cold and the wind is pretty wicked most of the time. Most of the mud is either under the snow or semi firm from the cold. Tomorrow the wind will be slightly calmer and given it will be much warmer I would expect the course to be far more sloppy and wet than it is currently.

Drake Evans   March 12, 2022 at 9:24pm

Thanks for the insight!

Ok

Steve Muchmore    March 11, 2022 at 11:44pm

Do we have a final decision on whether or not ribbons will be allowed/will be necessary?

Alex Moser   March 11, 2022 at 11:56pm

You can use ribbons if you want too, there’s a little snow but shouldn’t cause anyone to loose a disc.

Steve Muchmore   March 12, 2022 at 1:23am

Thanks, no ribbon it is

Alex Moser    March 11, 2022 at 1:47am

Reminder per PDGA rules for all B-tiers and above, participants must have a current PDGA membership.

How’s the condition of the course? Ice/snow? Mud?

Gene Harris   March 9, 2022 at 1:05am

I was out there today. No ice. Most of the ground is covered with a dusting of snow, I expect it'll melt tomorrow. There's tons of mud and there'll probably be more in the next couple days. Who knows if it'll freeze with Saturday's high in the 20's. Great idea to be ready for mud!

Alex Moser   March 9, 2022 at 1:29pm

The course is playable, we also have multiple bales of straw and hay being delivered this week to spread out in the extremely muddy areas.

Why so many people playing in divisions they shouldn’t. Isn’t950 plus open

Conrad Budzynski   March 6, 2022 at 12:11am

Three people in AM1 are above 950. Is that really "so many".

Trevor Owen   March 6, 2022 at 8:14pm

AM1 doesn't have a rating cap. You could be 1000+ and still play AM1 if you choose to.

Alex Moser   March 7, 2022 at 3:09pm

Trevor is correct. Am1 doesn’t have a rating cap, there for any rated player can play Am1 unless it’s an A-tier or they are over 970 and registered as a Pro.

Francisco Espinoza    February 26, 2022 at 3:58am

Is the layout in the video, the layout for the tourney?

Alex Moser   February 26, 2022 at 4:53am

Yes

Philip “Flip” Balger Scott   February 26, 2022 at 2:46pm

The prominent fairway tree featured during the fly over of #12’s fairway is no longer there.

Conrad Budzynski    February 11, 2022 at 1:06pm

What’s the snow pile up look like? Also, pdga rules don’t let us put anything on the discs to find them in the snow correct?

Joe Rutkowski   February 11, 2022 at 1:07pm

Usually it's TD discretion as to whether you can add chalk or ribbon...

Craig Clingan   February 11, 2022 at 1:54pm

According to https://www.pdga.com/rules/official-rules-disc-golf/81301, "D. When night or snow play has been announced by the Director, players are allowed to add a material or device to assist in finding the disc."

Alex Moser   February 11, 2022 at 2:48pm

There’s a good bit built up. I’ll make an official announcement closer to the date.

Not being able to play (physically) the past few years & having lots of time to follow online. I've noticed the "older" groups getting bigger & bigger lately.

Joe Levell   February 4, 2022 at 11:08pm

I'm just saying - can't go by past years to get a solid gauge.

Joe Levell   February 4, 2022 at 11:10pm

Thanks for all you guys do Alex!!

Jeff Dutka    January 29, 2022 at 3:32pm

Hey Alex! Will there be any merch available with the event logo?

Alex Moser   January 29, 2022 at 5:01pm

Hey Jeff, sorry we are unable to get a custom run of disc this year. So there will not be anything with the stamp on it. Sorry

Mike Siuda    January 12, 2022 at 1:49pm

$75 for all divisions (pro and AM) for a 1 day B tier event?

Alex Moser   January 12, 2022 at 2:36pm

Yes you are correct. All MDGO events have gone up. Deductions are $33 for Player pack/ park fee and $42 go towards payouts per person . Except for Open divisions.

Jim Fries   January 14, 2022 at 5:12pm

Its 2022 people. The sport is growing and so should the entry fees. Look at the price of beef!

Jim Fries   January 14, 2022 at 5:13pm

Its a great way to weed out the people that aren't as serious. Imo

Alex Moser    January 11, 2022 at 4:47pm

Craig, Mt. Pleasant isn't "up north". :)

Craig Clingan   February 4, 2022 at 6:50pm

According to recent temps, I'm pretty sure it's part of the Arctic Circle.

Philip “Flip” Balger Scott   February 5, 2022 at 4:51pm

Past the marsh crossing IS up north imo

Thank you for the response! Why the change from last year?

Alex Moser   December 10, 2021 at 3:44pm

With the PDGA making New rules that all players have to have a valid PDGA membership to play in b-tiers or higher (a lot of AM4 don’t have memberships yet) as well as the demand for more spots in higher divisions we have decided to not have Am4 at this event.

Matthew Heminger   December 10, 2021 at 3:49pm

Thank you very much for the clarity and insight into that!
