TDs have a tough job. Part of it is balancing the finances, and the payouts, and when someone backs out after the payouts are already finalized, it creates even more work. They are not obligated to refund people, especially people creating more work for them. If they made an exception for one person, where would they draw the line?

this is our Club championship, not the bc open. I volunteer a lot at this Club again i asked why do they have to keep all the money? lukily chance you answered the question. unlike the Td's where they said it was clearly stated and it was not. She had to go on a website to find out.. Again, i see this a small friendly club event not a major etc.. it is what it is, but it still leaves a sour taste in my mouth especially when there was not refund policy stated on the event page..

Hey Jamie, as a pdga event, we follow the pdga event rules, where a refund policy is clearly defined. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear. In terms of refunds, I hope that situations like this discourage people from withdrawing the night before a tournament in the future. Late withdrawals add work and stress and it would be much nicer for everyone if people who do not plan to attend let the organizers know in a timely fashion.

If you read the About section and the e-mail sent from Deanna at Raptors, it states YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO REGISTER FOR ONE DAY. IF THERE IS STILL ROOM A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE REG CLOSES IN OCTOBER, WE WILL THEN OPEN IT UP TO THOSE THAT WANT TO PLAY BOTH DAYS. Jaden showed interest in playing both day ... more

There were still a lot of available spots on the Sunday a couple days before reg closed last week, so he registered for both.
