Any concerns with the possible thunderstorms on the radar for this weekend? What’s the protocol for that stuff?

Here is the PDGA rule for weather delays. These rules will be followed. Rain does not stop play, however, lightening does. https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/107

Do we have ma3 tee pad assignments for rose hill?

Chad Smoliak   April 30, 2023 at 4:15pm

The tee pad assignments were in the emailed letter for players last week , but I can tell you it’s all forward pads except for 4/5/7/10

Alex Logsdon   May 2, 2023 at 3:13am

Ok it just didn't mention ma3 for rose hill

Rob Clayton    April 29, 2023 at 5:07am

I know it will be in the caddy book but for MA40, MA50 playing from the blues at Rose on hole 7. Will it be playing as a par 3 per normal or will it be made a par 4?

Chad Smoliak   April 29, 2023 at 7:22am

It’s listed as a par 3 as it’s only 324 ft.

Rob Clayton   April 29, 2023 at 2:03pm

In the email that was sent out it shows MA40 playing it from the blues. According to the tee sign and udisc hole #7 from the blues to the pin position on the cement blocks is 424 feet..

Chad Smoliak   April 29, 2023 at 2:32pm

Ah yes my bad sorry , there’s a few holes I can take a look at here and there so we’ll see. Thanks

Note: the letter sent states check-in closes at 6pm Thursday. It’s actually 7pm.
I apologize for any confusion

Is there a dress code for this event?
Not seeing any "dri fit" dress code.
Respectful normal. If not posted?

Clarification question on dress code. The rule says tee-shirts are not allowed, however, crew necks made from a high-performance material are allowed. Does that mean plain cotton tee-shirts are not allowed, but a tee shirt made from polyester/dry-wicking material is okay?

Chad Williams   April 27, 2023 at 12:42am

Christopher my understanding from the answers; no cotton, tees in polyester/dry wicking are OK with no collar. Rule 3.04

Chad Williams   April 27, 2023 at 12:51am

I was just making sure. Maybe help someone else. Just dress like the pros.

Matthew Brown    April 25, 2023 at 2:20pm

Sorry if this has been posted , but do we have pad designation yet ? Layout .

Carrie Neal   April 25, 2023 at 3:33pm

It will posted today as well as in the letter being sent all players today

Here is a link to a Copper Ridge walkthrough my wife and I made this weekend. Hope it helps you out of town players.

You're welcome!

Chad Williams   April 27, 2023 at 1:08am

Great video, editing and player experience on the course. We may have to play blind with travel. This is a great resource, so much better than a drone fly through and with relatable skill level. Well done!

Steve White   April 28, 2023 at 2:42am

Great video, and you two also had such a nice rapport with each other…so nice to see!

Christopher Dehler    April 24, 2023 at 9:57pm

Carts?? - Looks like I'll be playing copper ridge and Rose hill. For people who have played both courses, how cart friendly are they - Wil be using a Big Jerm golf push cart style? (mainly worried about pushing up and down steep hills).
Thank you :)

Rose Hill is totally cart friendly. There a bit of elevation but the trails are easy to navigate. Logan Lake has hills and a few spots that might not make sense for a cart, but lots of people still use them. We will have a video up tonight of a w

walk thru some local players did

Charlie Picken   April 29, 2023 at 8:25pm

Rose hill is great for carts! I use mine every time! There is a few uphill spots where it's a bit annoying but fully doable! Copper ridge is less good but also haven't tried using the cart there yet.

Justin Cacka    April 21, 2023 at 3:44am

I have some friends doing a birthday shindig at Logan lake Saturday. Looking forward to another update on conditions

CHECK-IN IS MANDATORY AT OKANAGAN DISC SUPPLY
Logan Lake WILL NOT be facilitating check-in.
There is NO DAY-OF check-in at any of the courses!
If you don't think you will make it to check-in, please email me at [email redacted] and give me the full name of the person that will be checking you in. This is only if you are unable to be in the Kamloops area Thursday afternoon.

Curious about the snow situation at Logan lake ?

Carrie Neal   April 17, 2023 at 6:04pm

Mostly melted but expect wet, maybe some muddy spots. The next two weeks should take care of anything left on the ground.

Carrie Neal    April 17, 2023 at 4:26pm

Hello All! With TCO only 2 weeks away, we are working HARD to get tee times and pad assignments together as well as all the other small details that are part of a tournament of this size. I just want to remind everyone that we are volunteers who have full time jobs and need some grace when it comes to answering emails and messages. I promise, we aren't ignoring anyone. There are several platforms in which to communicate and sometimes we miss a message or think another team member has answer ... more

Did this email go out by the end of last week? Just want to make sure I didn't miss it.

Zachary thiessen   April 26, 2023 at 4:56pm

Has the email gone out? I have not gotten anything either

Carrie Neal   April 27, 2023 at 12:32am

It's in your inbox as of a few hours ago :)

Sean Galbraith    April 11, 2023 at 8:22pm

Has anyone filmed course fly-thrus by chance, for those out of towners who haven't played the courses before?

Rob Clayton   April 12, 2023 at 2:47am

Check out last year's TCO coverage on Parked Pro YouTube channel. While it won't be the exact layouts at Mac and Rose as last year it will definitely help

Julie Moens    April 11, 2023 at 5:16am

Are there any plans for teetimes within pools? Trying to figure out childcare options!

Chad Smoliak   April 11, 2023 at 5:31am

This is on my agenda for this week. I’ll post preliminary ones and then do my best to accommodate a few people if needed.

Julie Moens   April 18, 2023 at 4:00pm

Hello! Not trying to add pressure, just trying to figure out travel! Is there any update on tee times?

Matt Prosk    April 5, 2023 at 4:23pm

If I am turning 40 this year, am I eligible for the MA40 division? I'm mostly concerned with logistics, I can't play Logan Lake as my son will be playing basketball in Kamloops. Thanks for your help.

Sean Galbraith   April 5, 2023 at 4:43pm

Yes, you are eligible for MA40 for the entire calendar year of your birth

Chad Smoliak   April 5, 2023 at 4:43pm

Yes 40 during the calendar year makes you eligible, if your birthday was Dec 31 you could play MA40 1 day after turning 39.

Carrie Neal    April 4, 2023 at 8:44pm

Dropping info under the pictures tab! Be sure to take a look!

Is there RV parking available at MacArthur Island for players?

Chad Smoliak   March 27, 2023 at 5:49pm

I don’t recall the specifics but yes. It’s in the lot near the arena and I think it’s 10-15$ a day.

Carrie Neal   April 4, 2023 at 7:52pm

Yup! You must be a self contained unit tho! No tents. There is no water, hook-ups or bathroom facilities. You're in a paved parking lot!

Thomas Kuhn    March 21, 2023 at 10:52pm

Can you confirm when you expect the last card would be off the course on Sunday ? Last year it was quite late. I assume with the changes made it will not be the same. Just trying to plan logistics. Thanks in advance.

Chad Smoliak   March 21, 2023 at 11:05pm

That all depends on what course you’re talking about. As for being able to answer your question I’ll know with a few days of registration closing.

Thomas Kuhn   March 21, 2023 at 11:25pm

McArthur, assume it stays as is ?

Robert Laurie    March 9, 2023 at 1:54am
