WARNER PARK WORKDAY THIS SATURDAY!!!
WHEN: Saturday Aug. 1, 8 am - noon
WHERE: Warner Park Disc Golf Course Pavilion
WHO: EVERYONE! Bring friends, family, and yourself!
(MHK parks and rec will provide supplies and equipment, Westview Community Church will provide 15 volunteers, now it's up to DFOK to provide guidance, insight, and assistance in improving Warner Park. Many of the volunteers may have never played disc golf before, so your help is crucial in guiding the work and ensuring the work improves the quality of the course.)
WHAT: Several projects are planned, including:
New placement for practice basket + Fill/mulch pit around current spot
Limestone screening around teepads to alleviate mud/eroding ground
Trimming limbs along pathways between holes and along fairways
Mulch along pathways in wooded areas to alleviate mud/slipping
I plan to split volunteers into groups and hope to have at least one disc golfer working with each. If you are certain you can be there at 8 am and are willing to serve as an informal "group leader," please let me know either in comments below, or PM.
