A great day of golf this last Sunday with several new players and a few we have not seen for a little while - welcome All.
The course is looking great thanks to everyone helping pick up the course and a few helping with some trimming and course repair. There are two tree down w the worst being all around Hole 8 short tee pad but it is clear enough to tee off and walk around. I hope to open up a small passage through the tree trunk soon and then the park will do the heavy clean up and hopefully mulch a bunch of it right there.
I see a few players are bummed that the rough is very rough but that is to be expected with so much rain and fast growth. All the paths and trails are clear and the fairways are looking great. I tried trimming a few branches from 17 long and we will look at 11 long soon. Hole 7 long has been cleared behind the tee pad and where the bushes and trees have been growing into the original designed fairway. Thanks Mom ;-)
Several have mentioned wanting to help with course maintenance - Thanks. It is just hard to pre-schedule these activities but we will try to schedule a few short activities when possible.
