Construction:
By this weekend, we will be cleared by the County to install the final 2 pin placements at Fairmont Park. These two pin placements are Short #13 & Long #16. The work will amount to digging a hole at each location, hand mixing concrete for the base, then install the metal ground sleeve surrounded by concrete. They'll go really quickly... just a couple hours. Stay tuned for a date & time.
Design & Planning:
One week from tonight, a DFOK meeting will take place to iron out some pressing local matters.
Who: You
What: Discuss & finalize multiple disc golf items.
When: THURSDAY SEPT. 26TH, at 5:30PM - 8:30PM (+/-).
Where: MANHATTAN PUBLIC LIBRARY (629 Poyntz Ave.)
The pressing club matters to address will be as follows:
1. Review & make final comments on the Fairmont Park Tee Sign artwork.
2. Review & vote on the prefered *ARTWORK* for the 2013-2014 DFOK Bag Tags.
3. Finalize the format & schedule for the 2013-2014 DFOK Bag Tag and Points Leagues.
4. Other topics, time permitting.
*ARTWORK*: Just like in previous years, we need front & back Bag Tag artwork for the upcoming 2013-2014 Season. Bring a print out of your concepts, or e-mail electronic artwork to [email redacted], prior to 3:00pm Thursday for consideration.
The DFOK Bag Tag must contain the following information.
- Text reading "2013-2014 Season"
- Our DFOK logo (like seen on this page)
- Generally speaking use Green, Black & White colors.
- A extremely visible tag number in a color contrasting with it's background.
- Tags 1 thru 10 larger "portrait" oriented tag numbers. (like last year)
- Tags 11 thru 100 smaller "landscape" oriented tag numbers. (like last year)
- The circle Discs Unlimited logo on the back, as they will be our co-sponsor again this season.
- The tags will once again be in the 3"x4" size, so keep that size ratio in mind.
