Just another reminder that tomorrow will be the overly long and complicated tournament name aka Tyler Pohler's doubles tournament, so we are skipping sanctioned leagues for the week.
But we can reminisce on last week!
Beckner gets the overachiever award for outshooting his rating by 65 points! Graham gets the super streaker award for his 5 birdie streak on holes 5-9. Pool C gets the hammer & sickle award for collectively shooting 31.5 points above their rating. The I play it safe/I'm just awesome award goes to Beckner, J. DelReal, and Allen for the only three players without a Bogey. Da Real MVP for the week is Basket 6 who gave us a 62.5% birdie rate. Honorable mention for Baskets 2 & 7 which gave zero bogeys. And the scrooge of the week has to be Basket 3 in which the league shot .54 above par and only a 4.17% birdie rate. Solo birdie belonging to Mr. Streaker himself, Will Graham. All award recipients get 100 bonus points for the week! *Bonus points mean nothing, are non-transferable, have no monetary or redeeming value whatsoever, and are not tracked or remembered*
House keeping notes:
Ace pot rules were modified.
When the pot value is:
$1-$100, Solo ace wins it all
$101-$150, Solo ace wins $100
$151+, Solo ace wins the pot less $50
If multiple aces are hit on the same day, the full pot will be split evenly among all acers.
Scorekeeping rules for all sanctioned rounds.
PDGA now requires all participants (or their caddy) to keep score for all players on the card, verify for accuracy with cardmates, and submit all scorecards to the TD (league director) within 30 minutes after your round ends. Obviously PDGA live scoring is the best way to do this, but other forms of scorekeeping are allowed. See League rules for further info.
Kudos to you Dan for picking up Joe's torch and running with it as far as these recaps go. I always enjoy reading them even though I don't play : )
