Does anyone know if the course will be open to the public this Friday July 1 through Sunday July 3? We are driving in from Michigan and want to make sure. Thanks in advance!

It should be open this weekend. There may be some course maintenance taking place on a couple holes to get it ready for the pro tour coming through the following week though

Matt is correct. it closes on the 4th thru 11th for the pro tour. there is also Lincoln Ridge/Banklick about 20 min from Idlewild, another good course to play if u have time. hard not to mention Mt. Airy in Cincinnati as well, it has a disc shop on the property.
