Apparently this is a Hotspot for Michigan road trippers. Coming down July 22nd. How similiar is the public layout to this course going to be to the PDGA layout for the tournament this weekend? And There shouldn't be any reason the course would be closed right? The Am tour ends a week before, so we're banking on everything being opened back up by then.

I forgot that this year they changed the course slightly. 3 became a combo of 3 tee and A basket. 4 is long tee on B and uses C basket. still should be playable this way cause A thru E are permanent holes

Does anyone know if the course will be open to the public this Friday July 1 through Sunday July 3? We are driving in from Michigan and want to make sure. Thanks in advance!

It should be open this weekend. There may be some course maintenance taking place on a couple holes to get it ready for the pro tour coming through the following week though

Matt is correct. it closes on the 4th thru 11th for the pro tour. there is also Lincoln Ridge/Banklick about 20 min from Idlewild, another good course to play if u have time. hard not to mention Mt. Airy in Cincinnati as well, it has a disc shop on the property.

Group of us coming from Michigan to play next week and looking to see if there is a Pro Shop on or near the course anywhere..?? Also, looking for a 2nd course recommendation... We are thinking Banklick Woods Park.. Is this a good choice or is there a better local course around..?? Any feedback would be appreciated! Thx

Super random question. Played the course last week with my buddy while passing thru on our way back . Played with two younger guys named Alex and Garett. Looking to get a hold of them to get the UDisc scores that were taken that day. I shot pretty well and wanted to get that into my UDisc history. Is there a fb community page I could search for these dudes?

Anyone know what type of conditions the course are in this week? This would include if the teepads are shoveled/salted, the course is muddy in any way, or if there is an overabundance of snow? Would be helpful since I may take a visit at the end of this week...

Came from out of state and man this course kicked my tail. Beautiful and challenging. My biggest question, as I lost 2 go-to discs (one on 3 and one in the drink on 8), is there a FB group or anyone that posts about found discs? Thank you.

I lost two discs at Idlewild yesterday afternoon/evening... Both are pretty important to me. (No name on either unfortunately...)
One is a purple/yellow Innova Atlas (overmold), the other is a Red/Green Watermelon MVP disc.

I lost a white Rogue with a faded red piranha dyed on it in swamp on the hole with the mando over the swamp. Reward: two new discs for one old disc. Maybe that is D hole?

Can anyone meet up for doubles tomorrow at 11-11:30
they r using the same setup for the AM as the DGPT. I doubt they move any baskets that quickly (2 and 22 would be mostly likely to move I'd say). the only tangible difference would be some advertising OB signs will be gone and some of the baskets won't be elevated like they do for tourneys. I recommend playing all 24, they r some of your best chances to birdie lol. have fun!
