Ypsi Dubs Winter is coming to an end - soon.

Yes believe it or not Winter is coming to an end and although I can not tell you when our last snow day will be or when we will see 80 degree rounds we do know the date for the last Ypsi Dubs Winter league round - Sunday March 20th.

Now to help ensure Ypsi Dubs is well represented we will be offering another berth to the MiCPS-W to the winner of the Pre-round CTP this week again - Two throws for a buck - closest to the Pin - saves you the $25 entry fee to the MiCPS-W Grand Finale.

Since all Berths given away by leagues need to have the name submitted by March 12th - this will be our last Berth awarded. Ypsi Dubs is happy to have been able to award three berths this session - thanks for everyone's participation which made this possible.

Note for all the qualified Ypsi Dubs players who compete in the MiCPS-W you are also competing against each other for the Ypsi Dubs League Pool cash which should be at $200 by the Grand Finale. So there is additional money up for grabs for you at this event. If you have played 5 Ypsi Dubs league rounds during the Winter session and you compete in the MiCPS you will get a share of this money - some cash guaranteed for each Ypsi Dubs player just for playing. The amount is dependent upon your standing amongst the other Ypsi Dubs players during the MiCPS-W Grand Finale event. This is in addition to the MiCPS-W Payouts. Oh Thanks Mark Ellis when you see him as the League Pools idea was his idea - thanks for making it a reality. Let me know if you like how it turned out and if we should continue it for the Summer Session.

So there are only three Ypsi Dubs league rounds left before the end of our session and the MiCPS - Party On - I mean Play On.

I will have the plate made for the top three on the leader board and put it on the pepetual plague that hangs in the Rolling Hills lodge next to the door and etch the Ypsi Dubs Holy Grail trophy with the winner's name once the Winter league has wrapped up.

This Sunday we should not have to shovel the pads, probably be able to see the grass and discs and the temp will be above double points - sounds like another great round at Rolling Hills and Ypsi Dubs....

Remember your Mom wants you to going to Church this Sunday. Bring a friend - Show them the way. All are Welcome.

Congrats to Dan Whitlock who won his free entry into the Winter MiCPS Grande Finale March 26th.

Chris Gee devised a tricky pre-round CTP back into hole 18's basket from the road. Dan managed to sneak one up close near the very end to claim his spot in the Grand Finale of all this Winter Disc Golf league fun.

That save Dan $25 bucks and besides celebrating the end of the Winter league season, and competing for the MiCPS-W prizes and title, he is currently the only one of the quali ... more

He will be compete in a side game against the other Ypsi Dubs players who qualify (5 league rounds before the Finale) and who are at the event. This keeps the Ypsi Dubs Church league fun going even if when we travel to this event.

Ypsi Dubs has secured a Berth to the MiCPS-W Grand Finale and will be awarding this some time soon.

This week highlights from memory:
Matt Schooley won the 100% Cash Payout CTP and took first place along with Pat Burke. Two way tie for second and a three way tie for forth. Marty Peters won the Pre-Round CTP for the $50 MP3 player. Ken Parks grabbed the last Ypsi Dubs Beanie for his CTP. Only a few Ypsi Dubs Pint Glasses remain. I know I left off a few highlights so I'll upload the pictures later today for their 5 seconds of fame.

Happy Holidays from all of us at Ypsi Dubs

Just wanted to wish everyone a warm and wonderful Holidays. Merry Christmas

Reminder - the gates at Rolling Hills will probably not be open until a little after 9:30 on the weekends. The park does not officially open until 10:00 but normally the gates are open before that.

Hope to see those who can venture out for a Holiday services this Sunday.

Sunday Dec 19th Church

Looking like Double Points per the forecast with wind chill at 4 to 11 degrees F (F = Freaking Cold Fahrenheit). Luckily those survey dog pirates of 24 Chains are going to raid Ypsi Dubs and that should warm everyone's spirits. We will have some pre-round fun to keep warm and there will be a opportunity to get your hands on one of the new limited Ypsi Dubs pint glasses. Cheers!

For the MiCPS Winter 2010/11 Grand Finale Ypsi Dubs will have "League Pool"

A little extra competition, a little extra excitement, and a little extra money...

Nov 21st back to Rolling Hills - Church is in service once again...

Yes - The Park (Rolling Hills) is open once again. I stopped by this morning and besides the large back hoe blocking one side of the entry, while it tries to finish the grading of the dirt in the island, the park is open.

Note when you enter and pass the pay booth the road has changed. There is a big circle now so you have to head off to the right like your headed to the water park and then go around the circle 1/2 way to continue on to the disc golf course.

Right before the disc golf course and the main parking lot there is a dirt road headed off to the right - to the old Wireds property that will have new holes. This area will be worked on during the Spring - more paths, parking lot and more disc golf holes... More on that as soon as details are available.

So the park roads and paths have changed and been improved. Still a lot of landscaping to get the park back to looking serene and natural but the big work is all done and we can play again.

I also updated the Ypsi Dubs League plague that Steve Waite mounted on the wall of the lodge over the closure. Look to the right of the main door as you leave the lodge. Summer 2009, Winter 09/10, Both Summer 2010 league winners are now memorialized.

BRATS this Sunday

I hear the results of the vote last Sunday was BRATS this Sunday so I have updated the schedule. 10:00 AM. I'm looking forward to being back and able to attend service this Sunday.
