GLOW RECAP 9.1.2021 - SEASON FINALE

Sorry for the long delay in posting the last round of the Spring/Summer 2021 season recap.

It was a perfect night for disc at Mary Beth Doyle with hot temps, mild breeze & no rain. We played a round of Even Longs & Odd Shorts which lead to a hot score of -15 from Sprow/Crouch who took first cash. There was a tie for second and third cash between Fifer (Cali) and Chilson/Tschirhart, both with -14 scores. A disc flip decided that Fifer would take home the majority of those payouts. It was a perfect night for disc at Mary Beth Doyle with hot temps, mild breeze & no rain. We played a round of Even Longs & Odd Shorts which lead to a hot score of -15 from Sprow/Crouch who took first cash. There was a tie for second and third cash between Fifer (Cali) and Chilson/Tschirhart, both with -14 scores. A disc flip decided that Fifer would take home the majority of those payouts. Fourth cash went to Howard/Blesy with a -13 score. There was also a tie for last cash between Drouillard/Thelen & Smart/Ritchey, with Drouillard/Thelen taking the cash after a disc flip decision.

CONGRATULATIONS TO CHILLY! Our Spring/Summer 2021 Season winner! Taking 1st place by 40 points. Great job man, you crushed it this season!

8.25.2021 RECAP

We had 23 players come out to play in some super hot & humid weather this past week. We played a BWR + WRB layout which lead to a pair of -13 scores. Splitting first & second cash was Common/Moote & Smart/Kovalenky. Third cash went to Chilson/Brayton with a -12 score. There was a three-way tie for last cash between Drouillard (Cali), Thelen/Trombley & Sprow/Cook, all with -10 scores. A disc flip decision decided that Drouillard got the cash.

Bruno snagged his second ace of the WC Glow Spring/Summer league season on hole 6 from the red pad!! He took home $75 and got a bonus 30 league points. Congrats man! Great shot!

Next weeks round (September 1st) with be the SEASON FINALE played at Mary Beth Doyle. Bring your rain jacket, snow pants, bug spray & sun screen cause you never know what MBD will throw at us. We’re looking forward to a fun night to end the season! After next weeks round, we will take a 2-3 week break before starting the 2021-2022 Fall/Winter season.

Second, third & fourth cash was split evenly between Fifer (Cali), Selig/Crouch & Smart/Ritchey, who all shot -13 scores.

GLOW RECAP 8.4.2021

Well… the night started off with about a hour or more of heavy rain. We decided to delay tee off until 7:45pm to see if the rain would let up any. It started to diminish around then & looked like it would get better as the night went on. Rain was gone around 8:15/8:30pm & we were able to continue our round without umbrellas & extra rain gear.

Playing Short pads also lead to TWO ACES! Chip aced hole #13 & Bob aced hole #16. Give these guys a high-five next time you see them! Congrats!

25 players came out this past Wednesday night to play a round of RWB + BRW pads at Bandemer. The weather was hot & humid, with little to no wind & a million mosquitos.

There was a tie for first & second cash with -13 scores from Selig/Izeluk & Chilson (Cali). They decided to split the cash evenly. Ideal weather on a perfect summer night brought 33 players out to play the B3, R3, W3 + W3, B3, R3 layout at Bandemer. Taking first cash with a -16 was Moorehouse/Thelen. I've been watching the weather and radar for this afternoon. We are going to proceed with league tonight, but we also need to keep an eye on the skies and radar throughout the evening. Looks like there will be rain, and it looks like most of the nasty stuff will miss us.

Need to be cautious out there this evening. Bring your rain gear, umbrellas, towels, etc.

Rain, Rain, go away!

Our area is expected to get rain late this afternoon and into the evening. Some of it could be heavy and we may experience some thunderstorms. Since I can not say for certain what the conditions will be, please keep an eye on radar and weather experts as we progress through today.

Clearly I do not want anyone to risk playing in unsafe conditions such as lightning and thunderstorms. We have been fortunate with weather so far, but today is worth keeping your eyes on.

31 players showed up to play a ridiculously hot & humid round of Even Short, Odd Long pads at Mary Beth Doyle. Shooting the hot score & taking first cash was Thelen/Quiton with a -16. There was a 4-way tie for second through last cash, all with -15 scores. Boucher/Oid, Selig/Watts, Sprow/T. Magner & Brayton/Common. There was a throw off that resulted in Boucher/Oid getting the bonus cash.

Only 11 players braved the very rainy evening to come play a round at MBD last Wednesday. We decided to play all short pads to make it quicker since it didn’t seem like the rain was going to let up. About 3/4 of the way through the round, the rain lightened & finally stopped.

There was a 3-way tie for the two cashing spots between Perras/Frame, Binienda/T. Magner & Chilson/M. Magner, all shooting -15 scores. Teams decided to split the cash evenly.

GLOW RECAP 5.12.2021

It was an absolutely beautiful night for a round from the long pads at MBD. We played an alternate pad on hole 6 (middle pad) to spice it up. Taking the first through fourth cashing spots with -15 scores were Montville/Binienda, Quiton/Trombley, Common/Snyder & Bramble/Selig. They decided to split the cash evenly. Shooting a -14 & taking the last cashing spot was Thelen/Oid.

It was a perfect night for disc golf tonight at Mary Beth Doyle. A cool evening with winds that calmed during the round & clear skies. 26 players came out to shoot a round of Long Odd, Short Even holes. A hot score of -14 from Chapman/Lokken took first cash. Second, third & fourth cash was split up between Frame/Watts, Sprow/Jones & Krumm/Magner, all shooting -13 scores.

GLOW RECAP 4.28.2021

25 players came out to play with the possibility of rain in the forecast. It turned out to be a great night with only a few sprinkles. We played a RWB + BWR layout that lead to a hot score of -12 shot by Common/Ballios taking first cash! Second & third cash was split evenly between Plantz/Lee & Selig/Cavender, both with -11 scores. There was a 3-way tie for last cash between Thelen/Herron, Splittstoesser/Quiton & Tindall/Perras all with -10 scores. A throw off from 1 Blue resulted in ... more

Clear & cold April weather brought out 25 players for a round at Bandemer. We played White pads then Red pads which resulted in Common/Gustafson taking first cash with a -15 score. Second cash went to Krumm (Cali) with a -14 score. Third cash went to Magner/Chilson shooting -13 & fourth cash was taken by Boucher/McLaughlin with a -12 score.

First Night of Spring/Summer

Reminder that we are going to start the first night of Spring/Summer on Wednesday April 7th at Mary Beth Doyle.

Please keep in mind that MBD is a more active park than Bandemer with the playground, basketball court, and runners/bikers making their way through the park. We will try to implement some minor changes playing a hole or two when we can.....nothing real crazy, but something that changes the course just a bit.
