As winter’s chill clings to the land, the warriors of the Chilled Chainsmen League gathered once more upon the battlefield, their sights set on conquest, their hands gripping the discs like the swords of old. This week, the clash of titans saw another name etched into the annals of legend, as the battle for league dominance raged on.

Tier A: Thomas Voight’s 10-Under Masterpiece – A Song of Chains and Fire

In the great war of the Chainsmen, a new champion has risen, if only for a night. Thomas Voight, the Lord of the Fairway, unleashed a relentless assault, carving a path through the course like a dragon’s flame. His 10-under performance was not only a masterclass in precision but also the second recorded 1000+ rated round of the season—proof that he belongs among the greats.

Yet even as he claimed this triumph, other challengers lurked in the shadows. Marshal Morris, only one stroke behind at 9-under, stood like a cunning Hand to the King, ready to seize power at a moment’s notice. Isaiah Gall followed at 8-under, ever the steadfast knight, unshaken in his quest for the throne. Dave Rector held his ground at 5-under, while Justin Foster remained locked in a battle of wills at 4-under. The war is far from over.

Week 3 of the Chilled Chainsmen 10-Week League took place on Super Bowl Sunday, and just like the big game, it was filled with highlight-reel moments, clutch performances, and a historic achievement. While football fans were waiting for kickoff, our disc golfers were putting on a championship-caliber performance of their own. Marshal made history, competition stayed tight across all tiers, and the race for league dominance is heating up. Let’s break down the action!

Tier A: Marshal’s 1002-Rated Round – A Performance for the Record Books!
Every Super Bowl has an MVP, and this week’s Chilled Chainsmen MVP was Marshal, who delivered a historic 11-under round, earning the league’s first-ever 1002-rated performance! He played like a quarterback in the zone—reading the course, executing perfect throws, and making every shot count. This milestone cements his place at the top, but with plenty of season left, can anyone step up and challenge his dominance?

Right behind him, Tom put together a 6-under round, staying steady and proving that he’s still very much in the title race. While Marshal may have thrown the equivalent of a game-winning touchdown, Tom is staying in the hunt, looking to mount a second-half comeback.

With this record-breaking round, Marshal is officially the team to beat—but as we all know, even the biggest leads aren’t safe until the final whistle!

Tier B: Kelly’s Smart Play Secures the Win, Pat and Chris Keep the Pressure On
Over in Tier B, Kelly kept his momentum going with a 6-under round, playing smart, controlled disc golf to secure the top spot. Like a defense that bends but doesn’t break, he avoided mistakes and held off his challengers.

Pat and Chris were right there in the mix, both shooting 4-under and keeping the pressure on. They may not have taken the win this week, but they’re staying in playoff contention, setting up what’s sure to be a down-to-the-wire battle in the coming weeks.

Tier C: Foster Manages the Game, Fogelman Battles Through

Welcome back to another week of fun, fierce competition, and some seriously impressive disc golf shots at the Chilled Chainsmen 10-Week League. Week 2 had all the drama you could hope for—birdies, close calls, and a bit of trash talk along the way. Here’s how it all went down across the four tiers!

Tier A: The Showdown of the Week
This week’s biggest matchup came down to a nail-biting battle between Justin and Tom. These two were neck and neck all day, and it all came to a head on the final hole. With the score tied and the tension building, Justin pulled off a gorgeous birdie on hole 18, securing a 10-under total for the round. Tom, just a stroke behind, parred the last hole and finished at 9-under. It was a solid effort from Tom, but Justin’s late-game heroics earned him the win and bragging rights for the week.

But Marshall wasn’t far behind! He shot a 5-under and finished in a respectable 3rd place, showing he’s got what it takes to compete at the top. With such a close field, Tier A is shaping up to be a thrilling ride every week.

Can Tom bounce back in Week 3? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure—these two will be battling for the top spot again!

Tier B: Aces, Birdies, and a Fight to the Finish
Things got real exciting in Tier B this week, with Kelly, Pat, and Alex all pushing for the top spot. But it was Chris who stole the show, thanks to an amazing ace on hole 18. After that jaw-dropping shot, Chris didn’t stop there—he followed it up with birdies on two of the next three holes, finishing strong at 6-under. The crowd was buzzing after that ace, and Chris kept the momentum rolling all the way to the top.

Kelly fought hard but had to settle for 2nd place, finishing 5-under. He gave Chris a run for his money, but the ace was a game-changer. Adam Smithers and Alex tied for 3rd, both posting 3-under performances. It was a tight race between them, and they made things interesting until the very end.

That ace on hole 18 was the highlight of the week for Tier B, but all the competitors here proved they’re ones to watch in the coming weeks.

Tier C: Adam & Wayne Lead the Charge
In Tier C, Adam Fogelman and Wayne came out swinging, with both players putting up solid performances. Adam claimed 1st place with an even round, showing steady control throughout the course. Tier D: Rheannon Dominates, but More Are Coming
This week in Tier D, there were only two competitors, but that didn’t stop the action. Rheannon came out on top, taking 1st place by a solid margin and beating Billy by 4 strokes. With a strong and steady performance, Rheannon showed that even with a smaller field, the competition is still fierce.

Round One Recap for The Chilled Chainsmen

Round one of the 10-week disc golf tournament is officially in the books, and what a start it’s been! With gusty winds making the course a bit more challenging than usual, players had to bring their A-game to survive the elements. The competition is heating up, and players are already showing some serious skill on the course. Whether you’re in the lead or just a few strokes behind, the energy is high, and everyone’s hungry for that top spot. Let’s dive into how things played out during this first round.

Round One Highlights:

Top Performers:
A TIER- Riley absolutely crushed it with a -7. His precision off the tee and solid putting helped him stay ahead, even in the wind. Not far behind, we saw Dave making their move, finishing with a -6 after some clutch shots on the back nine.

B TIER- Wayne came out swinging in the first round of the season shooting -3 while talking to himself like an old Aaron Gossage. Battling for second was Jeremy and Selven both with -2. They shot well but couldn’t pull away with a solo victory.

C TIER- Adam crushed his competition shooting +6 while not truly playing his best Disc Golf. He has decided to move up to B Tier next week to take money from the bigger boys. Jax shot a respectable round while flexing his FD3 like he was Eagle McMahon himself!

Windy Conditions:
The wind was definitely a factor today, and it added an extra layer of difficulty for players across all divisions. On certain holes, you could see players adjusting their strategies—some opting for more controlled, less aggressive shots to deal with the unpredictable gusts. Others risked it all with bold moves, hoping to land that perfect shot despite the swirling winds. Either way, the wind was clearly a game-changer.

Division Breakdown:
With three divisions—Tier A, B, and C—there was a good spread of talent across the field. In Tier A and C, we had 4 players competing this week, while 8 players battled it out in Tier B. It was great to see such a mix of skills on display, with each division offering its own exciting moments.

Troubles:

Holes 2, 4, 7, and 16 were not birded today.


The Field: With 3 divisions, things are still wide open. There are only 1 stroke separating the top contenders, but with so many rounds left, anything can happen. Whether you’re at the top or the bottom of your division, there’s plenty of time for things to shift.

Looking Ahead: As we head into round two, the pressure’s on, and the weather forecast is calling for more wind—if not even stronger gusts. Players will need to adapt to stay in the hunt for the top spots. Can Riley and Wayne hold onto their lead? Or will someone from the middle of the pack make a surprise jump? One thing’s for sure: we’re in for an action-packed tournament.
