Doubles Starting Up 3/17/15

The first doubles of the year will start tomorrow at 5:05. Doubles will be run a little differently. We don’t have anyone (yet) to consistently run doubles so until further notice, doubles will be run by the people who show. It will be up to the players that week collect minis/money, bring scorecards and pick pads. Freestate Doubles Championship, Rockburn on Sunday, Nov 4 @ 10 am

The Freestate Doubles Championship will be at Rockburn on Sunday, Nov 4 @ 10 am. There will be two divisions, champion and field. To qualify for the champion division players must finish in the top four of any weekly league or top twenty in Freestate standings. All other players will participate in the field division.

$5 to play with a $2 optional ace pot. Rockburn will add cash to the ace pot. Everyone is welcome and you don't need to bring a partner, but you should bring your A game. This is your chance to test your mettle against the best doublers in the state. Bring it!

Ok, so by concensus, we'll be starting dubs at 5PM on Tuesdays. However, bring a flash light as it will help locate discs and targets.

Ok, so by concensus, we'll be starting dubs at 5PM on Tuesdays. However, bring a flash light as it will help locate discs and targets. It seems to be getting dark by 6:15PM.
Also keep in mind, that your weekly performance at dubs will help you score points towards the Free States Doubles Championship held this year at Rockburn Branch Disc Golf Course. It will be on November 4th. More details to follow.

Ok gang, as the sun keeps going to bed earlier, we're going to start dubs for the next two weeks at 5:10PM. Then on the 23rd, we're going to convert to GLO rounds. More information on the GLO rounds will be forth coming as the time week approaches.

The Freestate Doubles Championship will be held the first Sunday in November (the 6th) at Patapsco State Park. Registration will start at 9:30 and play begins at 10:30. Fee to play is $4. We will play the green monster. The top 2 teams will play a final 9.

There will be 2 divisions. Champions and field.

To qualify for the Champions division a player must finish in the top 4 of a weekly event or in the top 20 for Freestate standings. (since the calvert leagues do not post points on dgs the league leaders will be determined using the scarboro method. one win = one point) League leaders will be paired by their rankings. So 1st and 2nd will be paired as will 3rd and 4th. This allows each league to be represented by 2 teams. Other teams in the Champions division will be paired randomly.

The field division is for players who have participated regularly but don’t meet the criteria for the Champions division. To qualify for the field a player must participated in one of the weekly doubles events this year. All teams will be paired randomly.

Dubs Postponed 9/8

Due to the flooding on Sandy Hook Road, dubs is postponed tonight. Looks like the best weather this week is Saturday. I'm able to do dubs around noon Saturday if you guys would like to get dubs in. Please let me know ASAP so I can make the call.

New Dubs time, New rules and CTP 8/30/11

We've been finishing in the dark as of late so the new start time is 5:40 SHARP. Please do your best to be on time. Also there are new doubles rules up on scarborohills.com. No new in round rules but the Ace Pot procedures have change a bit. The Ace Pot has been split for the first time and a tiny portion of it will be for a in round CTP. Everyone who puts in for the Ace Pot will get a chance at the $.

Im not going to be at dubs due to a family thing. I have put Zakk Bailey in charge. If he's there then dubs will run as is. If he's not there, the ace pot will not be in play but feel free to play. I just need the scores from someone. The rain date is Thursday.
