This is the famous SRDGC Bag Tag league back in 2019 for another year of bag tag craziness! You MUST be a registered member of SRDGC in order to participate. Please email [email redacted] for details on how to join.
Bag Tag League Rules:
*** Def: Challenger = the lower ranked tag holder. Challengee = the higher ranked tag holder.
Even if there is no change in tag status all bag tag rounds MUST be entered into the Disc Golf Scene web site which can be found here:
https://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/Sand_Ridge_2019_Bagger_Taggers
*** The winner of the round is responsible for entering the score. The scores must be entered with accurate time and date - this is important.
*** While there is no restriction on where and when tag rounds may be played, please be reasonable on requesting locations. Tag rounds may be done as a part of league rounds, tournaments or any casual rounds.
*** Changes to standard play:
- Any format for tag rounds may be used which includes, match play, doubles, mass tag rounds, putter only rounds, etc.
- Any rules or modifications to rules may be used for any tag round.
- Course OB, Mandos and the like do not have to be adhered to as indicated by course signage unless it compromises course safety. Please use common sense.
- All changes to standard play as listed above must be agreed upon by all tag round participants prior to the start of the round. If no agreements are made then standard stroke play using PDGA rules is used and all course OB and mandos are then observed.
NOTE ON MATCH PLAY: DGS does not recognize match play as a format for bag tag leagues. So you must enter a score for all holes played as accurately as possible even if victory is determined prior to the last hole. Be sure that everyone agrees to the posted score prior to ending the match.
*** Ties will result in no change in tag status unless all players agree to a playoff and the format of the playoff. If no agreement is made on the type of playoff then starting at the first hole played will be sudden-death stroke play.
*** If a player looses a tag or elects to drop out of the league it will cost $5 for a new tag to be made and to rejoin the league. If that player elects not to rejoin within a week they forfeit their spot and when they rejoin they will be given the next lowest tag number available at the discretion of the league director.
*** The challenger may challenge anyone within ten tag numbers above. So for example, #13 may challenge all the way up to #3. Of course this rule does not apply should a challengee agree to the round.
*** The challengee chooses the course. Please be reasonable in selecting a course. If no agreement can be made then the league director will choose the course. (I don't recommend you make me do this - Dave.)
*** The challengee has ten days to try to make the round happen. Scheduling must be agreed upon by all participants. Again, please be reasonable and try to work it out and remember that people have lives outside of disc golf. If no agreement can be made within 10 days then the challengee forfeits their tag to the challenger.
*** Challengees may receive one challenge per week. Any other challenges may be declined. However, all challenge requests MUST be responded to within 48 hours even if it is to decline. Failure to respond to challenge requests may result in the challengee forfeiting their tag at the league directors discretion.
*** The league director reserves the right to modify and alter the above listed rules as needed. This listing of rules is clearly not intended to address every possible situation. Please be mindful of this and Mr. League Director promises to be as fair and equitable as possible.
*** ALL participants in a bag tag round must physically have their tag at the course or they cannot participate in the tag rounds. No exceptions.
