This week went to a sudden death playoff. It carried for five holes - with Woj/Royer prevailing over RPG2/Manard on the fifth hole. RPG and Manard went down with a squeaker of a putt skimming off of the chains, and Woj dropped in Joe Royer's park job. Ace pool continued to build.
Note that ace pool is not updated, but is at least $60 higher than what is listed. We are still looking to get the July 14th results from Mike Michalak and the ace pool total from both weeks has yet to be added in. It will be well over $200 on July 28th.
Flippo/Wojciechowski won the round with a -16 this week. This marks six weeks in a row that Woj has rolled at Parmalee Birdie Dubs. Ryan Toth attempted to take the $112 ace pot, twice smashing chains (holes 2, 11). It makes four ace splashes in three weeks for Toth without a catch. Baskets at Parmalee are getting stingy! Ace pool is building! Come on out, hit a $100+ ace, and crush Woj's run of wins!
Saturday Dubs at Parmelee! 12:00 noon 5$ , 2$ ace pool
Parmalee Birdie Dubs is back for the winter - Saturdays at noon, Parmalee Park in Lambertville, MI! Always a blast, frequently a second round will occur as well. C'mon out and get some easy deuces.
The ace pool had built to $42.00 when Mike Raymond hit it on March 7. He hit hole 6 to take home the cash.
On Feb. 14 Ron Shufelt hit the ace pool, got it for $76.00, the second highest ace pool thus far. He hit hole 11 which he'd hit in casual play a week before.
On Jan. 3 Chris Hoyle hit the ace pool, he only hit for $16.00 with an ace on hole 10. He threw in a sharp anhyzer with a his star aviar, straight into the chains. First ace of 2009.
On Dec. 27 Nick Gray hit the ace pool, pulling in $88.00 for his thumber on hole 9. It hit the woodchips and snuck over the edge of the basket for his first ace.
Ace pool cleared, Haley/Supan win
The ace pool was cleared - it is estimated at over $200 as Nate Ginsbach and Dustin Supan split the pot. Mike Michalak, who usually runs the league, is in New York competing at the Amateur World Championships, so the exact ace pot total is uncertain.
Winning the round itself and splitting a clean $50 was Justin Haley and Dustin Supan - aided along by the ace they won by a comfortable two strokes over a cluster of 39 (-15)'s - which went to a CTP to determine the rest of the cash spots. Congrats to Haley/Supan, good win.
