Keizer Rapids Disc Golf Course Basket Fundraiser Begins!

Capital City Disc Golf (a local Salem, Oregon Non-Profit) has put together a project to replace the baskets at Keizer Rapids Disc Golf Park in Keizer, Oregon. The first step of this project is collecting donations from all the from our community both locally and globally to assist us with this project!


Our plan is to purchase 18 Innova DISCatcher® Pro baskets, sleeves, and materials to permanently install the baskets in the ground. Capital City Disc Golf Club and other community members will install the baskets. Existing baskets may be used for another upcoming project with the City of Keizer.


Project Costs
$5850 for 18 Baskets
$600 for 24 Extra Sleeves
$400 for 3400 pounds of concrete
$700 for Freight
$7550 Total

Approximately 4 man hours of work per basket $1800 in estimated volunteer hours.


We have submitted a grant application to the city of Keizer to match our funds and potentially reduce our donation goal. We will post updates as we work through that process.

League Fee Updates

FYI we are raising all weekly league fees for Capital City Disc Golf leagues by $1. Remember league fees are separate from ace pot buy-ins.

CCDG Member League Fee was $4 and is now $5
Non-CCDG Member League Fee was $5 and is now $6
Ace Pot Buy-in remains an additional $1.

These fees will help offset the additional costs with online payment system fees.

* If you want to be eligible for cash payout, you must pay before your play your round.
* League Fees are Paid Online through Paypal (you can either pay with your Paypal account or there is an option to just use your credit or debit card without an account).
* All Day Flex Start.

* Scoring will be kept on uDisc
* No Ace Pot!
* Payouts are made via Paypal to the email address you paid in with.

MNL Announcements

Ok all my Monday Night League folks; I posted the results from last night. We had 33 paid players so paid out 11 places! Congrats to Michael Lobdell taking 1st!

A couple of items of note;

I'm still giving raffle entries to anyone who collects at least one bag of trash. So if you bring a bag and fill it, I'll mark it down. At the end of the season I'll raffle off some prizes. We will have a few discs, a new Dynamic disc bag, umbrella, as well as some other items as time goes ... more

I've noticed several scoring errors from a few of you in the last few weeks of scores. While this is not a sanctioned event, we do want everyone to get used to following PDGA rules which includes counting your scores correctly. So in keeping with this; if you turn in a scorecard with a scoring error I will correct the error and assess a 2 stroke penalty on your score.

Monday Night Handicap Singles present by CCDG has started up again with one already in the books. We had some great weather, 67F and sunny, for the first round of the season. PDGA Rated Rounds for MNL!

Starting on 16 June 2014, you'll have an option to pay $1 extra on your buy-in for Monday Night Handicap League and have your round PDGA rated!



There will be no other change to payouts or buy-ins. PDGA round rating is $1 per person per round. PDGA round rating is completely optional.

MNL is back!

Well, from what I hear it was a great (but windy) first night of Monday Night Handicap! We had 18+ people make it out which is awesome for the first night back. (Don't forget about the club provided CTP if we hit 25 people!)

Well, from what I hear it was a great (but windy) first night of Monday Night Handicap! We had 18+ people make it out which is awesome for the first night back. (Don't forget about the club provided CTP if we hit 25 people!)
Anyways, scores are up, and thanks to a new feature I am able to post the adjusted scores as well! Which means that it might look a bit mixed up, so just remember that it's a handicap league so the best raw score doesn't necessarily win the money. Payouts are up as well, you can collect your money next week, or whenever you catch whoever has the money at that point. (Either Scottish or I).
And one last thing because I have to (and you all knew it was coming)..... I really need everyone to put your full name on your card. Doing all these scores and adjustments takes time, please make my life a bit easier! If it becomes an issue I'll start getting mean, let's not let that happen!

That Time Of Year

Mondays just got more fun! CCDG is happy to announce the return of Monday Night League. Starting March 10th at 4pm the longest annual running league around will start back up. The start time will be adjusted as it begins to stay light later. Winslow started a new handicap system at the end of last season that will continue this season and will make the payouts more evenly based and help to eliminate sandbaging. So come on out.

Monday Night Hdcp League

Hdcp league starts @ 6pm. Kayla will be running the league the next 2 weeks as Chris will be out of town. I will have CCDG collared dry-fit shirts for sale for $25.00 each (includes towel and special bag tag), glow eagle discs 172 and 175 weights (leftover from Jackpot) $12.00 each, memberships $10.00 and CCDG bag tags $15.00 for club members, $20.00 for non club members. PS, by time league starts, we should be able to accept most credit cards and most debit cards for purchases. Can not use it for league fee's though.
