High-low results

League members got to celebrate another great season with a culminating high-low doubles tournament last night. Congrats to the winning team of Zander/Travis James and Jared Monsma, shooting a 49.

Also congrats to our league champion Trevor Hofman. He averaged an even 55 over the course of the season to take the scoring title, while also posting 115 points in the handicap department to claim the title there as well. This is the first time this has been accomplished.

League members got to celebrate another great season with a culminating high-low doubles tournament last night. Congrats to the winning team of Zander/Travis James and Jared Monsma, shooting a 49.

Also congrats to our league champion Trevor Hofman. He averaged an even 55 over the course of the season to take the scoring title, while also posting 115 points in the handicap department to claim the title there as well. This is the first time this has been accomplished.

Two berths to the MDGO State Finals presented by Discraft were also awarded last night. Zäck Murray and Thatcher Berends will be representing the league in Ludington in two weeks. Good luck!

Finally, Anchor Party Store was kind enough to donate a beautiful MVP basket to the league this year. Each week, the CTP winner for the Anchor Party Store-sponsored hole was entered into a raffle. The drawing was last night and the winner is: **drum roll** Jacob Arvidson.

Week 15 winners

In an underwhelming turnout for the final week of the season, but on a beautiful night nonetheless, we witnessed one final shift in the standings as players jockeyed for a position on the podium. Randy Singletary scratched and clawed his way to a third place finish in overall scoring after his performance last night, while Zäck Murray leapfrogged his way into second in the adjusted scoring race.

Awards will be given out next week at the conclusion of high-low doubles.

ATTENTION LEAGUE MEMBERS

Next week Thursday, August 15, we will be holding the members-only, high-low doubles tournament. All league members are automatically entered. ($5 per member for those who didn't pay in full at the beginning of the season).

The players meeting will be at 5:15pm and tee off will be at 5:30pm. Please arrive prior to 5:15 to ensure you get checked in.

The post-season awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the high-low doubles, so prepare to stay a few extra minutes for that.

Week 14 brought another strong turnout. Still no aces, so next week will be everyone's final crack at the pot!
Several more hot scores last night, highlighted by Todd Tracy's second hot round in a row with a 50. Trevor Hofman's 52 vaulted him into first place in the overall scoring race, but Thatcher Berends is right behind with just one week to play. Hofman's 52 also seems to have put a strangle-hold on the adjusted scoring title, though miracles can happen in Week 15.

IMPORTANT COURSE UPDATE

Please take note of the brand new addition of a MANDATORY on Hole #7. This change will go into effect immediately. Anyone missing the mando will proceed to the drop zone with a one-stroke penalty.

This course update was necessary purely for safety reasons. Several different players expressed concerns with giant lefty-backhand hyzers or righty-backhand anhyzers intentionally throwing over the trees into the fairways of holes 6, 10, 11 and 14 in an attempt to play their second shot directly up ... more

Austin Stuk made a move and took over first place in the handicap scoring race, followed closely by a slew of competitors. On the scoring average side, Thatcher Berends (55.43) leads six others by less than two strokes. The mosquitoes descended upon the Hollows last night and seemingly sucked away a few players' scores. But there were still some bright spots. Trevor Hofman turned in another hot round with his 52 and Danny Bast took home a good haul in handicap points with his adjusted 44.1.

The heavens opened during week 3, but there must have been a special ray of sunshine beaming down on Jared Saucedo as he posted the hottest round of the year thus far, shooting a 51. This also gave him the best handicapped round of the week.
