The playoff for the berth will be tonight at the usual time (7 pm). 18 holes skin format. There will be NO buy-in for this playoff, but if any players want to arrange side bets you are more than welcome to. I will be there to watch the battle and to award the winner with the berth package.
Horton swings into town and cleans out half the ace pool with a "Did it go in?" shot on 14! The only Freaky Friday Skins ace in 2 years and he saves it for the last night! The ace nets him 25 points and puts him in contention for the berth. Myself and Jay will not be playing off for the berth, so the following players will have a shot:
Chris Leo
Alex Mouton
Andrew Hughes
Jeremy Horton
Kurt Maty
Billy Montpas
Please post in the talk section to arrange the playoff round.
Thanks again everybody for coming out this year!
Tonight will be a beautiful night for the last round of the Freaky Friday Skins 2011-2012 season. Thanks to everybody who braved the dark, cold, and muddy conditions this year to battle for skins! We saw more friendly faces this year than last, and hopefully next season will have even more players.
Tonight's round is the last round to decide the top 5 in points that will be playing off for the States berth. This playoff will most likely happen the following Friday. Jay and myself might b ...

We will be playing 18 holes at Oakland University tonight! Tee off around 7pm. It looks like it's going to be a cold one tonight with slight wind and possibly a chance at double points.
It has been said the campus pigs might hassle us for golfing late. If we suspect this might be the case, we will park in the dorm parking lot across the road from 2's basket and tee off on hole 3. See you folks tonight!
Next Friday, March 9th we will be battling for skins at Oakland University. 18 holes glow starting at the usual time. We should have the baskets glowing for the round.
70% chance of rain tonight. It could ugly out there, folks.
We are nearing the end of the season. Jay might be getting a berth from MiCoPS, which means he wouldn't be competing in our playoff. This bumps the playoff slots down one notch, so as of right now Billy Montpas would have a shot at it.
I'd like some input from the rest of the top 5 players on the playoff format. The format will depend on everybody's availability. Please post your feedback in the Talk section. Here a ...

Hey everybody. I was just looking at the schedule and I realized Daylight Savings Time begins on Sunday, March 11. This is 3 weeks earlier than I thought it was when I created the schedule. The league schedule was supposed to end after DST. I am in favor of cutting the last 2 weeks from the schedule, making the last league night Friday the 16th. If you have any feedback, please post in the Talk section.
Snow. Lots of it. Wind? Yeah, we'll have lots of that too. See you tonight.
No news is good news. Get your ass out and golf tonight. Seriously.
Apparently it is still winter. The forecast is calling for a little snow, some hefty winds at 15 MPH, and a chilly 29 degrees that will feel like 17. We might drop down to double points temperatures tonight! Forecast is calling for a "feels like" temperature of 15-14 degrees from 8-10 pm.
We will be trying one of the two formats I posted the other day depending on the turnout. If we have enough people for doubles we will do re-flips after every 3rd hole. If we have a small group we will do rolling Cali singles.
Enjoy your day and we will see you tonight! Don't forget to bundle up!
Looks like temps around 35 tonight with little wind. The mud has been slowly drying up over the past few days but it is still a bit messy out there. Ace pool is at $271 going into tonight. We'll see you there!
Al Gore and his damn global warming stole our chance for double points this week. Forecast calls for a clear, relatively calm 32 degrees. Let us hope the sunshine today melts off whatever fell last night.
Enjoy your day and we will see you tonight!
If anybody is interested in throwing down for a group LED order I will take orders and money tomorrow night. The LEDs are $0.80 a piece, plus a couple bucks from each person for shipping. Colors available are red, yellow, green, blue, and white. Shoot me a message on here or talk to me tomorrow night if you want to get in on this. I will ask that I get money up front so I can order them tomorrow after the round and we can have them in time for next Friday.
Last week qualified for double points, so good job to all those brave souls who shrugged off the bone-chilling temps and came out to throw.
This week won't be much different. The forecast as of now is calling for a snowy, slightly windy 19 degrees which will feel like 11 degrees. Pile on those layers and hope you don't crack any plastic! We'll see you tomorrow night!
It definitely was a freaky Friday the 13th. Hughes golfed his way to 8 skins and Binienda saved money back at the end. Thanks to Jay for sweeping the pads! Ace pool is up to $251 for next week.
Forecast calls for 26 degrees by 7 PM that will feel like 12 degrees with some strong winds. Sounds like a good chance at some double points tonight! Bundle up, put some Irish coffee in your thermos, and come on out. Have an awesome day and we'll see you tonight!
Low 40's, upper 30's for tonight's skins round, so you can't use the cold as an excuse for not coming out! Get some practice in before Bobis on Saturday and the Ice Bowl on Sunday.
Island greens will be in play on 8 and 13 tonight. Ace pool is at $213.
Enjoy the beautiful day and we will see you tonight!
The rain stopped just in time to give us a sweet looking foggy round. It was a good battle last night.
Thanks to Mike Henry for donating a disc for first place! The Boatman went to Jay for his 6 skin win. The Skinless Consolation went to myself.
My apologies for the lack of island greens this week! I promise they will be in play next week regardless of weather!
Island greens on holes 8 and 13. The island boundaries will be lit up and you're either on the island or OB. Don't be short of the big tree on 8!
Almost halfway through the season and the leaderboard is changing up. Jay and Chris have had some solid weeks to take first and tie for second respectively. There is plenty of time left for the rest of the field to close the gap and fight for a Top-5 spot for the berth playoff.
Tomorrow night could get ugly: the forecast is calling for a sn ...

Would like to know if anybody's down to play skins on the 23rd? Please respond if U want to play, If no response form anyone it will be canceled, and the same for the 30th. Please let us know .
The forecast is calling for a partly cloudy 32 degrees tonight, and the wind is supposed to die down by 7.
We still have blue and red lights for sale in case anybody needs some.
There will NOT be a league day next Friday, the 23rd. We will resume league on the 30th. From Freaky Friday Skins, we hope everybody has a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanza, magical Solstice, debaucherous Saturnalia, or whatever else you may celebrate. And a Festivus for the rest of us.
See you tonight!
The snow has hit, and the forecast says it will keep falling until about 6 PM and then clear out for our round tonight. Weather.com is also saying after the windchill it will feel like 15 degrees or so. This may make tonight's round eligible for double MiCoPS points. Bundle up! Teepads will be clean before the round.
We will have red, green, and blue LEDs for sale tonight. $2 a piece or 3/$5.
Last week Horton won the post-round CTP for the Skinless prize. Ace pool is currently at $90. Have a groovy day and we'll see you tonight!
It had to happen sometime. Forecast is calling for a somewhat clear, 32 degree night. It is supposed to warm up enough today to melt any snow that might be on the ground before league.
The supercolor MDGO Buzzz was not given out last week because I forgot! Sorry! It will be this Friday's Skinless Consolation instead. See the last news post for details.
We should be getting some wafer-thin LED lights in sometime next week, hopefully before Friday. We will be selling these for $2 each o ...

If you are one of the unlucky golfers this Friday that ends the round without a single skin, keep your chin up! We will be giving everybody without skins at the end of the match a CTP chance to win a disc. If there is only one skinless golfer, the prize is theirs! The disc is a supercolor MDGO Buzzz and you can see it in the pictures section.
See you on Friday!
Freaky Friday Skins will have one berth for the 2012 State Championship. The top 5 players in points at the end of the season in March will do a playoff for the berth. The format is to be determined, but might be sudden death holes, regular 18 hole skins, or some other format. If a top 5 player already has a berth or declines we will move down the leaderboard to replace them.
The points format has changed slightly so now 2 points are given for participation plus 2 points for every player you ...

10 players tonight, so we went out in two groups of five playing singles for skins within each group. Points were also based on how many players someone beat within their group.
No aces hit so the pool is up to $34. Thanks for coming out. See you next Friday!

Champion!
What started out as a warm and dry round ended wet and cool. It was a tough battle for all tonight.
Alex Mouton snagged a skin early on, with Chris Leo not long after. Billy Montpas hit on 11 to bring the skins to 1-1-1-0-0-0. Kurt Maty waited patiently until 15 to jump in and it was looking like a playoff was in the cards. It came down to hole 17 when Mouton and Montpas drove past the bucket about the same distance. Billy hit his deuce putt, but Alex's hit chains and splashed out the ba ... more

Nice job, Billy! Good shooting tonight, everybody! It was fun watching the battle. To the rest of you: get out and get your berth this year and we'll see you at States!
