EOY Skins Finale

I would like to thank everyone that participated in the Monday Night League. The year end skins match was a total blast, each hole on each card was worth $7.00 a hole. 25 players showed up and battled for the cash as well as prizes for ctp's and a long putt. Thanks to Tim Kopacz and Jamie Vincent for donating some nice plastic and a decal/sticker package. End of Year Skins Match!

Ok, now that league has ended, it's time for the handicapped End of Year Skins Match as a fun way to earn a lot of your money back.

For anyone who has played in at least 4 matches, you have a well established handicapped based on PDGA round rating calculators on each course layout. Our league ranking/top finish is based on handicap. For the skins match, foursomes will be grouped based on how well they rank. Ok, now that league has ended, it's time for the handicapped End of Year Skins Match as a fun way to earn a lot of your money back.

For anyone who has played in at least 4 matches, you have a well established handicapped based on PDGA round rating calculators on each course layout. Our league ranking/top finish is based on handicap. For the skins match, foursomes will be grouped based on how well they rank. Therefore the top 4 players will be in a group, and the bottom 4 players will be in a group. With the money collected each week, the ace pool roll-in, and the buy-in for the event, if we assume 24 players show up, each of the 6 foursomes will be playing each other for $7 per hole! That means between the four people in your group with similar ratings, you each have a chance to win $7 on every single hole (plus CTP and LP prizes!)! So, when you win a 'skin', you've won $7 in this example, and 18 skins would be worth $136.

Skins play is based on a per-hole best score. So if you get a 2 on hole one and everyone else cards worse than that, you win that skin (circle your best score). If you've already thrown 5 strokes and haven't made it past the short tee, you could just pick up and move to the next hole. If two people tie hole 2 with a three, then the skin 'pushes' to the next hole, and hole 3 will be worth two skins. If the skin pushes, EVERYONE in the group is still competing for the pushed skins on the next hole (not just those who tied - it's called 'two-tie, all-tie'). It is entirely possible that every single hole will be tied for the best score and push to hole 18 (or further like a playoff hole), and be worthy all the money. In the past league end events, because foursomes are based on handicap, we've seen holes that are worth 10 or more skins.

Standings, Leaderboard, Handicap

Once you have played 4 events, you will have a handicap and I will readjust each previous weekly handicap finish.

Points for the Leaderboard and weekly payouts are based on the actual weekly scores (not handicap). I wish DGScene had a better way to deal with simply assigning a handicap to a player, and not adjusting each score, each week, on an individual basis.
