What your money does:
1$ pays for the bagtag
3$ go into the pot for the payout (possibly schwag.....still working out the details)
1$ (at least) goes to course improvement
(Would love to get some schwag donations, possibly through the local clubs, then turn the cash over to them for the courses.)
Looking for a source of schwag, more bang for our buck etc..etc..

I'd like to say thanks to everyone that bought a tag and to everybody that came to the last 2010-11 bag tag round. A big thanks goes to Dan C, Dan G, KC Jones, Ben A and Baron Von Thoma for donating their time or schwag and in some cases both. We can all thank David E for getting the ball rolling and getting us those sweet looking tags. Congratulations to Baron Thoma for taking #1 and two ctp prizes. I had a great time golfing in the good weather with good people. The dude would abide.

Finals
Please spread the word to your fellow bag taggers that finals will be on the 8th of January at Dexter. We will play one round and pay the top 10 scores. Show up with your bag tag and sign in at 10:30 am. There will be an optional $1 ace pot and a chance to win a used full size plastic practice basket made by Quest AT.

Bag tag finals
Bag tags will end around Jan 2011. My plan is to have a one round final tag challenge. Pay out to the top 10 scores of the round. I'm working on getting some sort of trophy for the person holding tag #1 at the beginning of finals. None of this is set in stone. I'm open to suggestion and volunteers.

I made the announcement last week at league...this week we are trying to start between 5 and 5:30. I'll kick around the parking lot till 6ish in case there are some die hard stragglers who didn't get the info.

The leader board has been updated in order to reflect the corrections made on Aug 12th. Please elect a golfer involved in the bag tag challenge to submit the results in order to keep the leader board current.

Getting players linked
If anyone that is keeping up with this site knows players that aren't linked (their bagtag doesn't show up on their DiscGolfScene profile) it'd be great if you could send them a link to the site, so we can get everyone we can on the same page.

Bagtag 'rules'
For what it is worth, I adopted the rules form the Stumptown club website. I did change a few things (like references to specific courses, etc...) but for all in all it seemed like a well written set up so it's what we will play by (? objections are welcome, alternatives as well)

Evolution
After chatting with some of the bag tag members it seemed fit to send out 1-10 now...so that there is plenty of golf left for folks to elbow their way up.
Spur of the moment, handicap league served as the pallet for such an event.
So 1-10 are out there....
