Final Leaderboard

The leaderboard is updated with the final points standing. Congrats to Thrash for his 2nd Winter League win!

Final Info

The final is this Sunday, tee time is 10 AM!

Josh will be designing CUSTOM tags after the final results w/your name and the tag #. I got custom printed pint glasses too, but it doesn't look like they'll be here by Sunday. I'll make sure everyone gets one with their tag.

The format is pretty simple. You will get a bonus point for every player you beat each round. If 16 people show, then the person in 1st (after handicap is applied) will get 15 bonus points added to their total, 2nd will get 14, and so on. Ties will be broken by which Tag you come in with. CTP will be worth 5 bonus points. ACES will be worth 10.

I will be factoring tags and updating handicaps after the first round.

Round 1 will be 24 hole short-short layout with short 17 and the island in play! Maybe! It will probably be a freakin' lake from the melt. We'll see.

Round 2 will be 18 holes, CCR Mix that we played last week.

Up to date!

Everything should be up to date. There's snow on the ground for the first time and some of you played 2 harsh rounds yesterday. Lets stick to the Short 24 layout today. See you all there!

Sunday 12/14 Layout Thoughts

I will be running things this Sunday, which means that I will actually be there early for once! I'm sure you all will believe it when you see it.

As far as layouts go, I am unsure as to what to say we should play, we played Long/Shorts last week but the weather is going to be pretty fair, mid 40's and foggy so we should be able to play a nice big layout.

I'm thinking CCR Shorts or Edge, I know we did play Edge a couple weeks ago, but the weather is going to turn on us eve ... more

First week with handicaps!

First week with handicaps in play, with Tessie coming out on top and lowering her handicap by two points. A few other player's handicaps adjusted 1-3 points after today's round. I've updated the spreadsheet and added a "Results" page listing the adjusted results for the week in a over/under par format. I also highlighted the handicap column that will be used for next week's round.

I will be waiting til Thursday(ish) and checking the forecast before announcing next week's layout. At present time, I'm thinking River's Edge. I wanted to do it this week, and we should have seeing how the rain never came!

If you have 2 rounds in, you have a handicap for this week! They are listed in the spreadsheet. Mine is 13. If it's a wet slushy mess on Sunday, we'll play the 24 hole shorts layout. The SSA for that layout is 48 - a 1000 rated player better birdie 'em all! Or maybe par on 7 wi ... more

The SSA for that layout is 48 - a 1000 rated player better birdie 'em all! Or maybe par on 7 with one ace... Anyway. That means par for ME is 48+13=61. Zerbe (15) needs to shoot a 63 and Jacke and Siwek (9) need to shoot 57's for us all to tie!

Each layout has a different SSA, allowing us to switch it up and keep it fair.

Don't worry about ANY of this on your score cards. Keep score against course par and turn 'em in. The spreadsheet will do the math.

Remember to stick around for your tag after the round! It saves me from having to adjust the actual tag standings manually after posting scores, AND it keeps the players you beat from getting more points!
