The BSD 2012/20141 season has come to an end. It was a brutal winter. The worse conditions we saw was on 2/8 at Addison Oaks, for sure. Thanks to all of the players that came out and supported this league while it saw a changing of the guard. I apologize for all of the re-draws that happened. The $161 ace pool will carry over to the Bobis Ace Race on 4/5/2014! That money will split between all aces equally. See you all at Raintree Park for that event. BOBIS!
This Saturday we will be at Firefighters Park. I changed the venue for a simple reason, course conditions. Trust me I would much rather play River Bends, so I feel the pain of those that like the course. Sunday there is a fundraiser tournament at River Bends(3/23) check it out on the scene, it should be a blast!! The BSD club discs should be here soon. Its been a brutal winter, thank you to all of the players that came out this year!!! Super Pool is up there, last chance to get your hands on all that dough before it carries over to the Bobis Ace Race. BOBIS!
Bends is playable...played it Tuesday. Better conditions than what FF was on Sunday.
Last week Greg Hart won the TOC 50/50 CTP for $18($74 raised so far). Jay and Enoch took home the "W" with a -12(well done). Ace pool is at $95 and The Bobis Super Pool is at $248!! This coming week we are at River Bends to try and pack some trails down in the snow and to ensure that the tee pads are indeed ready for March Mudfest on Sunday! We have also decided to go with a disc this year instead of a t-shirt. They are going to be sweet! I look forward to seeing everyone at River Bends this week as I will be there both days. BOBIS!
BSD will be held at Firefighters Park this Saturday(3/1). I will continue to adjust the remaining schedule to better my odds of winning in the next few weeks. Thank you.
Jeff Dutka won the TOC 50/50 CTP on hole #8 for $10($56 raised)! Three teams tied for 1st place and split up the cash evenly. Both ace pools are updated and should add up to a nice payout on March 1st. We are scheduled to be at Riverbends. However, if the weather stays like this and there is still tons of snow on the ground we will hold BSD at Firefighters again. So keep your eyes glued to the scene and I will make a decision with in a reasonable time frame so you can all plan ahead. Thank you t ... more
Played River Bends today and it wasn't too bad. I'm still thinking we should hold the next BSD at Firefighters just because it is slightly more playable. So start pleading you case for which course you want and I will post a final decision on Monday.
This week BSD will be held at Firefighters Park. The course is more playable than Riverbends.
10 crazy folks came out last week to Addison Oaks for both a mentally and physically challenging round of golf. Allen Fleming won the TOC($46 raised) 50/50 ctp for $10 and Ted Stobeling carried me to a fourth victory in a row(Thanks Ted). Next week we will be at Firefighters Park(2/15) and the following week there is no BSD(Crosstown Classic @ Star/Wagner). We will see what the weather does in the next few weeks to determine the remainder of the BSD 2014 schedule. No aces last week although John Hamel was trying real hard to zero out both pools. BOOM! BOBIS!
That's right, we will be at Addison Oaks this coming Saturday. I expect a good turn out as there is no snow in the forecast Thursday - Saturday and temps in the mid 20's. I am also going to try to get some concrete under our feet and go out on Friday and hit the pads out there hard(I'll keep you all updated). $36 raised for the TOC. Both ace pools are up there too. This week will mark the last week you will be able to sign up for membership for the season, as it is almost time to ... more
Shaun Adkins won the 50/50 CTP for $9($36 raised so far). Tough weather this Saturday made for some high scores on 18 shorts, I smashed a 60 footer on the last hole of the day for the win, pretty cool. All of the -3's had a CTP from the parking lot to the practice basket(Ben Bobowski parked it for $20 for his team. No aces. Two weeks from now(2/8) Bobis Saturday Doubles will be at Addison Oaks County Park.
So far we have raised $27 for the TOC and will continue to do so next week at Stony Creek. Joe Gabris won the CTP @ River Bends for $18! This coming week we are at Stony Creek, we will play the 22 hole layout we played last time(holes 1-21 & 26). I'd like to play long tees though. Lets talk tee pad conditions shall we. I am looking for a few volunteers to help out with shoveling and salting/ice melt on the tees Friday and Saturday morning. I don't want anyone getting hurt out there ... more
I'll be there around 1115. Let me know who will be there to help shovel around then
13 players last week & no aces. We started the 50/50 CTP for the Tournament of Champions($9 won by yours truly), 9 players got in on that so there is $9 raised for the event already. We will continue to raise money for the TOC in the coming weeks. 13 players is disappointing. I know you all won't let me down this week at River Bends. With the days getting longer now I suggest the 25 longs layout we played last time, any thoughts on that? BOBIS!
That's right! This Coming Saturday we will be at Firefighters Park. We are switching it in a effort to keep the tee pads clear Friday-Sunday @ Firefighters. So, if you're really nuts you can play Freaky Friday Night Skins, Bobis Saturday Doubles and The Freezebee Ice Bowl on Sunday. Lets keep those pads clean! Two aces last week at Addison by Hamel and Caponi. Bobis on 1-18 will be held as scheduled at River Bends! Questions or protests, please pm. Bobis!

Congratulations to Bill Sicora. He aced hole #7 for a grand total of $463! What great weather we had at Stony, let's hope for the same at Addison Oaks next week. Next week will be the first week we run a 50/50 CTP, proceeds will benefit The Tournament of Champions a sanctioned C-Tier event that will be held on September 27 2014. 23 players made up the field at this weeks Bobis at Firefighters. Congrats to Joe G and Greg Hart on the -14 considering the conditions. Thanks to John Minicuci, Mike Walker, Dan Bienkowski, Greg Hart and KINK for the CTP donations! No aces this week and we now have 32 members. Bobis Saturday Doubles will be held at Stony Creek next week, I'm thinking that we will play 27 short again. Until then Merry Christmas and BOBIS!
13 players braved the elements this Saturday at Addison Oaks. A big THANK YOU to all of the players that pitched in and helped salt and shovel. No aces this week, so both pools carry over to next Saturday at Firefighters. Tee off at 1:00 pm. BOOM!
Bobis Doubles will be held at Addison Oaks County Park this coming Saturday. 28 players at Riverbends last week, making the highest total number of players yet this year. Both ace pools remain intact as nobody could jam one in this week. The league now has 30 members! I look forward to seeing everyone at Addy next Saturday, I'm thinking that we will play 18 or 24 longs. A huge Thank You to all of the players that are supporting this league while it is still transitioning! BOBIS!!!
Bobis Saturday doubles will be held as scheduled at Stony Creek. We'll put the layout up for vote for all who attend(18 long or 27 short). Both ace pools will start out fresh this week as Jeff Bauman aced last week at Fox. Remember you should try to have your membership by next week. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, I'll see you Saturday!
Just a reminder that Bobis Saturday Doubles has changes from Sunnybrook to Firefighters this week...
It is that time of year where we begin to play doubles on Saturdays with tee off at 1 pm. It is a weekly cost of $5 with a $1 weekly Ace Pool. The formats will be different than a straight random draw which is TBD at this point. The Ace Pool pays out 100% and carries over from week to week until someone breaks it. The schedule is preliminary at this point and the end date is as well. Stay tuned... BOBIS!

Pro - Am format is the most fair, instead of the same super teams each week.
Thanks for the great season Nate, John, and all who helped keep the show going and the pads cleared.
another good year. good job Nate! Bobis!!
Nice job Nate. Perfect year for me to step aside weather wise ;-)
Membership discs will be available at the Ace Race.
Hey I couldn't have done it by myself. John Minicuci regardless if he wants to admit it or not still played a vital role in supporting this league. Thanks John!
