Some of us are making the haul out to Albion this Sunday to play a round and dabble in the river. All are welcome to join in the fun, be warned of the water hazards if you have not played here BRING A TRIBUTE for the kracken will claim all..
Again.. Sunday, Albion, tee off 11:00.
As we recount and tally all of the scores from “The Return†all of the council would like to thank everyone that came out to play the event and even more so those whom braved one of the worst winters in recent times. We traveled countless miles and have survived blizzards, Ice storms, rum and frost bite, you should all be proud that you spit in the face of the hag ‘Ole mother nature and kept pressing on. We will be opening up our Friday Nig ... more
Well folks, the season has been harsh and brutal, yet our ships sailed on. One last port has been marked on the map for pillage in Canton, MI. Seems you pirates feel the need for a little Freedom. 'Tis a small course, but rest assured it won't be easy. Shenanigans will be assured as we celebrate the end of an intense winter season.
Ript anyone?
So hoist anchor and amass at Freedom Park. 10am meet, 1030 tee.
CHA!!!
Well then... 'tis April Fools day, but this is no joke. We have come to our final league round of the season. after this week we will be finishing up with our season end tournament, Battle at the Bay on the 13th before switching to Fridays for the summer.
So where do you want to play? There's been rumblings of the Gultch, but be aware that if we play there, it will have to be as a casual group of ne'erdowells and not as league as per course rules.
On to the votes!
1. Gultch
2. Hudson Monster course
3. The Farm on 8 Mile
4. Freedom Park in Canton
The course name Gulch is spelled wrong... ITS GULCH. not gultch, gultch is a thing you do with a women that has a very big mouth lol
Votes were due in at noon right, so where is the ship setting sail for on Sunday?
The winter season is coming to a close, cue the collective sigh of relief, but we still have 2 weeks remaining before we crown our victors at Pirate's Bay on the 13th of April. We currently have a tie at the top between Reslock and Minard. Reslock has made a push the last couple weeks taking first and the #1 tag each of the last two rounds. Which one will prevail and where will the #1 tag fall? Can one of you scoundrels hit the jackpot ace pool for some quick cash and 25 points to jump ... more
I feel it should be noted that the forecast calls for nearl 60 degrees and plenty of sun on Sunday as well.
are you guys mobbing i want to play but i also want to play nightmoose at 230
Off to Lakeshore we go for this week's round. The .25 sac might be a little light this week but thar be plenty of dirty holes to wager on.
Shaffer will be raiding Church though, spreading the good word and all about the Battle at the Bay... April 13th btw.
10 am in the Ponds lot
10:30 tee off
CHA!!!!!
I'll open up 9:30 ish. Working on the few remaining tees tonight hopefully!
Back to the polls folks! Hopefully last week at Vienna is the last time we will see single digit temperatures though even if it isn't, our ship sails on!
Pick your next course and get prepared for the season end tourney! Sign up now for a little something extra and make sure oyu're in by April 6th at the latest...
That said...
1. The Gultch
2. Lakeshore
3. The Farm on 8 Mile
4. Rolling Hills Raid!
thank fuck... atleast I dont have to mooch a ride! ...I still might ;)
Wellll it is the lords day so it be fitting that our own Je-Sus gets his way and we work closer to OhiO than I would ever want to be... That being said the game is on for Vienna park this Sunday. Bring your .25's, boots, water disc and a map.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Vienna is closer for me than Hudson / indy / gulch etc...
The 24 Cha!ns crew will once again be heading to the glorious Hudson Mills park for all our shenanigans and tomfoolery.
10am meet 1030 tee off.
Remember, we have custom metal minis available for pre order, the Battle at the Bay tournament coming up and the awesome concrete mini basket raffle going on as well.
Come with yer doubloons and pray you leave with your dignity!
CHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you sure Mills won? I only see 4 votes for Hudson;Swider, Minard, Bo and Trevor. (all from here on the scene), and 5 votes for Brown; Tod White, Whitlock, Pardo (here on the scene), Me and Abby (from facebook). Unless people voted elsewhere it looked like Brown won 5 to 4.
Although, my proxy vote for Abby was at 12:15p today on FB, so if it doesn't count that would tie it up at 4 each... defaulting to Pirate Bay.
Open polls this week folks! Cast ye vote!
Cheers! To the Ypsi Dubs and Night Moose players that joined us at Pirate's Bay, it was a great day for disc. Thanks especially to Foz for filling our belly's with chili dogs between rounds.
This week... well this week the council has decided to lock the wheel house and steer us to the riches of a rarely seen port. But if ye scallywags must cast a vote...
1.Firefighters
2.Firefighters
3.Firefighters
4.Firefighters
no way ben we should go to firefighters not firefighters!
theres more than just pirate shenanigans this weekend at ff too....freaky friday skins glow teeing off around 7 and bobis doubles is at 1pm on saturday
You know what that means. Calling all pirates to descend upon our very own Pirate's Bay at Water Works this Sunday. More snow, more ice, more golf.
As usual 10 am meet, 1030 tee off. Terms of the round will be decided before we flip. And remember, it's a cash round so bring your A game!
willow is haveing second round out there so rolling yes nightmoose no
You Pirates have rules - CHAA Yes - Ypsi Dubs is raiding and playing 24 Chains. I'll bring my little grill and some hot dogs. Night Moose round in the afternoon. Mostly Cloudy high of 31, Low starts in single digit. Should be a larger than normal crowd. CHAA!
We didn't even have to count the votes this week, t'was damn near unanimous. Independence Lake will be sullied by our presence this Sunday. Hopefully we have some tee pads to throw from finally, been what a month or two?
ANYWAY, 10 am meet 1030 tee off. Quarter sack always gets heavy at Indy so make sure to bring some coin and dirties.
Also, a quick reminder, registration has begun for the season ending Battle at Pirate's Bay and we have a raffle going for an awesome conc ...

Waist high drifts slowed us down last week, but we won't be stopped. This week we have three courses and an open vote. Pick yer poison or hoist up your own...
1. Windy Indy
2. Firefighters
3. The Farm
4. Fill in the blank
Okay, I see where this is heading. I'll switch my vote to Parmalee.
Attention on deck ye dismal crew! Word has it that the famous BRATS private course has recently made for a land grab and came away with the foundation onto which a championship level course will be lain.
The pirates couldn't let this glorious news pass without a party now could we? Sunday meet up at the residence of the always hospitable Terry Calhoun and take a chance to play BRATS again before evolution changes it forever. If you've never been, get ready for a real backyard bra ...

Votes tallied and cowards sallied. We take to the unfairways of Cass Benton in search of the Admirals ace bounty. Those whom fear no dropping trees should find themselves amongst friends as certain death looms overhead with almost every tee pads. The Tarzan sack typically floweth over at such a fine course so bring the quarters a plenty or suffer the plank. Question? just give one of the council a shout.
i will have 6 1st run mdgo stamped z cranks $15 each, also raffle tickets for a stone mini basket to be raffled off to raise funda for battle at the bay $2 each or 3 for $5

need a ride that can also drop me off in Ann Arbor on the way back. I'll pay for all gas and a few beers.
driver is more than welcome to the "party". (just a few friends getting silly for the game, as if we need an excuse. )
Subzero temperatures and constant snow won't stop the pirates. Plot our next port you salty dawgs.
1. Brown
2, Vienna
3. Goldenrod
4. Cass
Vienna is fine. It is missing the basket on hole 4, but we just play from the long tee to 11's basket on the hill. You guys are probably right though, it's unheard of that the Pirates would play a safari hole.... :-/
Actually hole on hill is new 4 basket and hole 11 has changed now Voss. Found that out at Bark at the Moon....
Hear ye hear ye!
This month that has seen some of the longest 24 Cha!ns rounds in recent memory comes to a close with our month end Pirate's Bay round. We will be congregating at our normal time and will have a chest full of booty (merch) available. Pre-orders for custom metal mini's are being taken so make sure you are one of the first 25 to get your order in. The first custom made birdie bags with our slick 24 Cha!ns logo printed on them will also be available.

Hhope you guys tear it up today! It's fucking amazing out with this slow snowfall but I'm stuck working weekends for the next month, gonna be a min before I see you scallywag's again so give'em hell! Chaaa!!!
The votes have been counted and this week we sail to the northern shores of Ann Arbor on the mighty Huron to the Bandamere course. 27 tees from which to play will offer plenty of opportunities for dirty dolla's and CHA aplenty. The quarter sack will be heavily fortified as well so come with yer silver in hand to vie for your shot at the treasure.
Tee off at 10:30... unless everyone shows up early, then tee off at 10:45. CHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well the first two rounds of the year have had us trudging through feet of snow. Last Sunday was JCC and it was a challenge, only 3 of the 10 groups managed to make it below par. Time to cast the vote for the next round, two of the four choices from last week remain with two more added. So...
1: Bandy
2: Brown
3: Vienna
4: Firefighters
This weak we are setting sail out to visit some friends pulling 5 or so in Jackson. We plan to make it in time for 10:00 visiting hour's and be heading out for the real fun at about 10:30. Be sure to make the proper arrangements to be there for the fun. No rules just the disc....
There is a very good chance nobody has played here since the snowfall began. Natural pads still in effect so come prepared for it. Will try to sneak out there Saturday and have a look and update conditions. CHA!!
Nice! I'll be stopping out in the morning for visiting hours and to bring something special out for you guys ;) Unfortunately I'll have to skip out on the real festivities to run the Portage league at noon..
To those driving in from I-94/127... The Driving Directions on this site take you to the Emmons Rd entrance which is incorrect. Instead take Emmons Rd to Browns Lake Rd and turn Left. Take the college entrance road from Browns Lake and head straight back to the dorms / Community Event Center. We will probably tee off from Hole #3. CHA!!
Last week's round at Waterworks with the Church crew was a chain smashing success. Now that 2013 has passed the time to vote has once again arisen. So, pirates, where do we start next year?
1. Lakeshore
2. Bandemere
3. Firefighters
4. Holt
Are u guys referring to burchfield as holt? There are two courses at burchfield: Devils den and Renegades trail. Both are sweet. But i say firefighters. Yay me.
we made it...where is all the pirates CHA!!u00b0u00b0u00b0u00b0
Sunday 29th at waterworks.. Normally its a $5 cash round last round of the month.. But instead we are going to do a Secret Santa disc Exchange. The way it will work is you must bring a New or barely used disc or discgolf related item ($10 value or up) Wrapped with your name on it.. That will be ur entry for the cash round. At the end of the round the winners will get first choice of wrapped gift and so on down the line. (If you do not have a disc let us know in advance we will wrap some extras a ... more
Anyone got the scores and tags from last week's round to post?
The ships will be sailing to the Cold Ground of Ypsi. To raid the Hills of Rolling. Beware Church we come loud and in big numbers. Since we are raiding Foz and his minions will be running the show. Sure they will have a cash free option for those who choose. But for those that want to steal there Booty they normally play for $10 a person including all the side games... Sure their will be some Tarzan and Dirties still being played..
Also 24 Chains is going to be doing a big blow up X-mas sale ...

as an added incentive to all me maties and lasses alike i will be attempting to defend my #1 this weekend and will offer
With only two Sundays left in 2013 time has run out to get your vote in. The 29th is called for and shall be at Waterworks so that leaves this as the last vote of the year. South, East, Raid or Open plains. Where shall we sail?
1. Firefighters
2. Vienna
3. Rolling Hills
4. Lakeshore
Ladies and gentlemen, pirates and sea-hags, the votes have been cast. This week we shall invade the land of the Night Moose and pillage their port, Willow Metropark, while they are away. If we are lucky there may be a stray moose or two awake early enough to graze in our midst.
So, as always bring yer doubloons for the Tarzan sack (it always gets heavy at Willow) and dirties. We will have merch available as well in case you need new 24 Cha!ns gear.
So, 10:00 am docking 10:30 raid starts. Be there on time or be charged the tax.
CHA!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like the fast back is canceled. feel free to join us for some cold winter cha.
Bring shovels and salt... the pads are terrible and there is about 6-8 inches of snow throughout the course. Jay and I cleaned the pads this week, twice. There was a tourney Saturday and 20 out of 24 holes should only have an inch or two.
As we march upon another week, the raid map has been plotted once again. Raids to the north, to the east, or along the 275 or 94 tradelines, where shall we sail?
1. Holt
2. Stoney Creek
3. Willow
4. Brown
With a last minute surge our crew has deemed White's Acres the next port of plunder! Home to our very own Hector Barbossa aka Todd White aka the #1 tag holder, this course holds everything from island holes to firepits and hot tubs. The ale shall flow heartily me matey's so bring yer sea legs and be prepared to ante up to the quarter sack and dirty dolla's as usual. The ship will dock at 10 and the raid shall begin at 10:30.
CHA!!!!!!
Damn Brighton rec has ruined my Discgolf this year already. Todd's course is a blast and I will instead be trudging the backwoods working on mapping the 46 acres for the course expansion have fun guys, BTW Brighton rec is now 30ish trees lighter on the orginal 9
That was after we played it and Tarzaned our way down the unfairways. Please add in the uber safe tee off a picnic table and tunnel of fail
Attention on deck!
Let's just call the Monster course at Hudson Mills the Detroit Lions because it blew out the competition this week to the tone of an 11 vote win.
So we hope you pirates enjoy your Thanksgiving, feast up and be ready to tackle one of the best courses in SE Michigan. Bring yer quarters and dirty dollars for the next wild ride. Check in starts at 10 and tee off is 10:30. Fill your gullet then come get your fill of CHA!!!!!!!!!!!
So with the new month approaching, our next round will follow the annual stuffing of the faces and giving of the thanks. The council has decided to attempt something new (cue grumbling and arrrrghs from the scoundrel crew). Prior to voting, 4 courses shall be plotted on the raiding map, 2 local and 2 distant ports. Voting shall hitherto commence and conclude at high noon the following Thursday.
So, with that said, enough of this palaver... cast ye vote or accept the fate dealt to ye.

OK boys..
Normally the last round of the month is a Cash Round on Home Turf at Pirate Bay(aka Waterworks)
But this week we have been asked by Farmhouse/Ypsi Dubs/Night Moose to join them at the farm house for their annual shit show...

a nascar race seems like someplace you guys would feel at home
10 am Meet up will be by Hole 12.. if raining bad may move to pavilion off hole 12
The votes have been cast and crew has decided the overflowing chest of doubloons isn't enough to steer the ship north to Kensington. Instead, we travel back to good ole Cass Benton. As usual the Tarzan payout will be nice and dirty dollars will be flying all over the deck so bring yer best game and come to Cass for some true pirate style golf. Check in at 10:00 Tee off 10:30, be on time or be taxed.
yes always play longs on 3 or else whats the use in playing at all ye drunken scalleywags
Watching Swider go sledding down 3 last year was Highlight reel moment fo sho
Thanks to all who came and enjoyed.. Some for the shit show. Tried joining u with another league and trying a new format.. For that we have decided to award all players that made the trip 4 points..
Now as for this week.. i say we try to keep it local and get back to 24 chains golf.. As much as i would enjoy playing kensington after the lasst 2 weeks of travel i believe that we should stay local.. But that the votes be the votes. Just remember that this does not replace the cash round for the last Sunday at WaterWorks..
So with that im going to Vote Cass..
CHAAAA!!!!
We are heading out to plsy our merry little game in Bright-On. Ace pool was just shy of smashed by the Admiral last week but the Kracken threw it back out. Maybe we will get to see another walk off win. Dirty, Tarzan, Miah in a speedo. All are punished.
CHA!
We have been called out on the hallowed land we call home. Ypsi dubs is coming to take us at our port. We will be playing our $5 freddy round as well as having optional side action. If you do not have the means you can throw in a gently tree bless disc as your tribute. We shall meet at 10:00 and begin the full assault at 10:30 as the crow fly's. Expect a fist full of CHA!!!
Heads up as we head out to the 'loo.. Tons of fun to be had with the trees that bless the Tarzan bag as well as a few tribe members that will be making the early wake up call to see what our ship of scurvy dogs is all about. We will be handing out Bag Tags to those who layed claim to them as well as selling package deals on shirts/towels/knit hats/ball caps you name it. We got the gear to get you through the winter and also hit it big with the the kiddos in the club house.
