Week #30 - Red Tees - Last Tee 5:00pm - Final Week!!!

Unfortunately this week is the final week of the 2023 season as we are rapidly losing daylight. Luckily it looks to be absolutely amazing weather, so I am expecting some hot scores to finish out the season. Please try to play in threesomes when possible and play quickly to ensure that all players can finish in the daylight.

Tee times have been uploaded to the PDGA site (https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/73189). Please be sure to double check in the morning before you arrive at the course to make sure that nothing changed. A two minute warning will be yelled at 8:58 and then a starting yell at 9:00am to start play. If you do not play on attending after signing up, please let me know ASAP so I can rearrange the cards. Be sure to join us afterward at the Blue Gill Pavilion (near holes 7 and 9) for a free cookout and optional doubles afterwards!

Labor Day Special! - Blue Tees - 9am Shotgun Start!!!

With the Labor Day holiday this Monday, we will be having the traditional blue tee round with a shotgun start at 9am followed by a cookout and optional doubles round. Please sign up by 10pm Sunday night so that I can make the cards by divisions.

Be sure to join us after the round at the Blue Gill pavilion by holes 7 and 9 for a free cookout provided by the league fees. After the cookout there will be an option $5 seeded doubles round where the best score from the blue tee round will be pair ... more

Mandatory on 6 is in play!

The layout is currently set for the PFDO and a mandatory has been placed on the first tree on the right side of hole 6 to prevent people from cutting the corner and throwing over OB. Your disc must pass on the left side of the mandatory. If you do not make the mandatory, take a one stroke penalty and throw your next shot from the red tee.

Additionally, it appears that there is a TV show being filmed within the park and they may be using some of the disc golf holes. I haven't been able to track down for sure whether they are filming or not, so if some holes are unplayable, simply skip those holes and I will remove them from t ... more

Week 3 Results!

34 total players came out this last week to take on Deer Lakes red tees with Brendan Reed in MPO and Matt Malcolm in MA1 shooting the hot scores of the day with -13, 53s. Adam Hudock and Doug McIntosh in MA2 and Keith Moquin in MA3 took down their divisions with awesome -8, 58s.

The birdie pot remains intact as no one birdied the required holes, but the first ace of the year goes to Dave Lachendro with a perfect shot on hole 2 right into the heard of the chains to claim $151 of the ace pot. ... more

The birdie pot remains intact as no one birdied the required holes, but the first ace of the year goes to Dave Lachendro with a perfect shot on hole 2 right into the heard of the chains to claim $151 of the ace pot. With his ace, Dave also won the MPO/MA1 CTP for another $12 while Daniel Paredes it the CTP for the other divisions for an extra $16. Congrats to all!

Week 2 Results!

With incredible weather this week, the scores came in so much lower. Shocking, I know! Shooting the hot round on the day was Chris Lachendro with a -14, 52 to win the MPO division. Next best came out of the MA2 division as Kevin Sines smoked the field with a -13, 53! Pasquale Coppola and Jed Farber shared the win in the MA1 division with -9, 57s and Keith Moquin backed up his win last week with another one in the MA3 division with a -7, 59.

Week 1 Results!

24 total players opened the 2023 Deer Lakes League season last week on a blustery, cold, snow ridden evening. Shooting the hot round on the day was Brendan Reed with a -14, 52 for the MPO field. Jeff Coull took down the MA1 division with a -10, 56 while Molly Moore snagged the win in MA2 with a -8, 58. Wrapping up the winners in MA3 with a -7, 59 was Keith Moquin.

A little chill isn't going to stop us from some disc golf today as the 2023 season kicks off! Please be sure to sign up by 2pm so I know who to expect at league this evening. If you signed up and don't plan to make it, please also let me know so that we aren't waiting around for you.

I plan to arrive between 4:30 and 4:45 to make sure that everyone has a group to play with and answer any questions that anyone has. A reminder that this is a PDGA sanctioned league so all PDGA rules must be followed.

Start of the 2023 Season!

It is hard to believe, but with us gaining an hour this Sunday, the start of the 2023 Deer Lakes League season is upon us with the first week firing up on this Monday, March 13th! I can't wait to get the league rolling again for its 8th year. I hope that this will be the best one yet!

Y'all were hitting it way too much and cleaning out the birdie pot, so I did a bunch of math and brought you guys back in line. Sorry. Also of note, the PDGA changed their division names, so I have updated those. The divisions are still the same, its just that their names have changed.
