Here is what we will be doing, I knew daylight was going to be an issue so I wanted to run something that could be done quickly, so it will be March madness bracket style and the format will go as follows: it will be match play with elimination, the first round (regardless of entries 16-32) will be best of 5 holes match play style if it isn’t settled after 5 holes you will go straight to sudden death the next player to get a stroke wins- every subsequent round will be best of 3 with sudden death if needed.
Now to get in the finals will be points based, so in every match you play each hole you win is worth 2 points and (including the sudden death hole) each match you win is worth 5 points and if you win the bracket it is 15 points, now for the players that are eliminated (excluding final 4 if 16 players registered and excluding elite 8 if 32 players are registered) you will get an opportunity for points still so you don’t just come out play 5 holes and have to leave, there will be a 5 hole regular scoring round and the three hot scores will be awarded 6, 4 and 2 points there will also be a one hole CTP for another 4 points that everyone will get a chance for! The top 20 after 4 weeks will get invited to the finals!
It will be 15$ to play and 5$ out of each payout each week will go towards the finals, there will also be disc prizes and possibly more in the finals the other 10$ will go to the payout and the final 4 get paid. I will be running this on TUESDAYS at 4:30 I know this could be a little early for some but with the daylight I’m happy i can run a format that we can play before it gets dark.
