We have made it through the regular season which means, it is time for our Hi-Lo doubles tournament! Players will be teamed up according to their handicap after dividing the league into 4 equal parts.

Check-in at the table near hole #1 between 4:15 – 5pm. Players meeting at 5:15pm with teeoff soon after. No guests on Tuesday as this is a members only event.

1 week to go and the top 3 remains the same. There could be some excitement among the top 10 as 1 throw separates 5th to 13th place.

As for the points race, Trevor keeps the foot on the pedal and should be able to cruise to a victory next week. Just a reminder for those vying for a spot in the top 10 of points, next week's update will have more fluctuation than normal. We drop 1 week's lowest point total, but due to DGS limitations, it can't be dropped until the last week.

Greetings and welcome to our first Tuesday in August!

Tonight (8/7) we'll be offering 2 optional side games. Please see the details below:

Best Adjusted Score Tournament:
Cost: $10

Format
Players will use their existing handicaps to participate in the standard SADGC Best Adjusted Score format. Must be a SADGC member and have a handicap to participate. Scores will be taken to the tenth decimal place ... more

Format
Players will use their existing handicaps to participate in the standard SADGC Best Adjusted Score format. Must be a SADGC member and have a handicap to participate. Scores will be taken to the tenth decimal place to minimize ties (same as the current point distribution).

Accuracy Contest:
Cost: $5 per entry, maximum 2 entries
Payout: Top 1/3rd by division. Black divisions will be used.
Also, top 3 overall scores regardless of division will receive a prize payout at the player's party.
When: 4:15pm to 7:15pm
Where: Felt Valley basketball courts

Format
Players will throw 4 shots from 4 stations ranging in distance - 100', 200', 250', 300'. The closer you are to the target, the more points you will achieve.
Additional Rules:
- Players cannot retrieve their discs until all 4 shots are thrown.
- 3 shots can be thrown with the same type of throw while 1 throw from each station must be thrown different. For example, if you throw 3 right hand back hand throws, your 4th must be either sidearm, overhand, or opposite handed.
- Ties will be decided by most bullseyes. 2nd tiebreaker is most points at 300'. 3rd tiebreaker is most points at 250'

Divsional Tournament - Black

Tuesday, July 17th marks our 2nd divisional tournament of the year. We will play 24 holes in the black pin locations utilizing a shotgun start. Given the fact that this is a tournament, we will use PDGA tournament rules which includes a 2 stroke penalty for wrong scores. Guests will not be allowed due to course capacity concerns.

Check-in at hole #1: 4:15 to 5:00pm (you must check in!)

Hello everyone. Today marks the first of 6 weeks in our black pin locations. 1 change from previous years is that we're playing a new pin location on hole #8. The new pin is about 25ft on the hill to the right of the yellow placement. When walking up hole 9's fairway, please be on the looking for errant drives coming from 8.

Greetings. Tuesday, June 5th marks our first divisional tournament of the year. We will play 24 holes in the yellow pin locations utilizing a shotgun start. Given the fact that this is a tournament, we will use PDGA tournament rules which includes a 2 stroke penalty for wrong scores. Guests will not be allowed due to course capacity concerns.

Week #4 Scoring and Points Race

The points race is starting to heat up but for a 2nd week in a row, Shane Robinson leads the way. Just 15 points separate the top 3 as Joel Allen and Jason Butch are on Shane's heels. Moving up to #5 is Trevor Wander after an adjusted score win last night.

As for the scoring race, Steve Dewitt still paces the way but is joined by Zach Vaughn atop the list. A mere half a stroke separates the next 3 - Rob Buit, Travis Prueter, and Jory Koopman.

Week # 3 Results

Week #3 is in the books and it was another record breaking night. This time, it was Leah Panitz putting her name atop the Best Adjusted Score record book smashing the previous BAS by 8 strokes! This record may never be beaten as she posts an adjusted round of 22 under par! That’s what happens when you beat your previous personal best by 17 strokes. Wow. Week 3 also means we get to see our first installment of the Scoring Race which will be posted soon.

Today starts the regular season! CTPs, scoring, and points will all be in play. Here are some other reminders:

Preseason week #3 - tonight

A few notes to get you on your way today:

- We are playing the yellow pins today (and for the next 8 weeks)!
- Stay warm!


Looking ahead to May 1st:
- We will have players packs on hand for those who still need them
- Long sleeved league-logo T-shirts will be handed out to everyone
- 4:45pm optional players meeting (encouraged for those who are new!)
- Regular season play begins with the first points and scoring averages being awarded/recorded
- We will play for a league record 14 CTPs each week!!!
- Basket Raffle!!

Hello,

Week 2 results have been posted and there are 5 on the naughty list. This should serve as a reminder to ensure you add your score properly. Failing to do so will cost you 5 points come regular season. Also, make sure you put first and last name on the scorecard.

Preseason week #2 - tonight

Hello everyone. Tonight is our 2nd league night and with much nicer weather than last week, I anticipate we'll have more players.

We will be playing the Black Pins tonight!

Preseason weeks #3 and #4 will be played in the Yellow Pins to get everyone ready for the first 6 weeks in May/June where we'll be playing the Yellow Pins.

Once again, we will be playing the Black Pins tonight.

First League Night is Tomorrow!

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our first league night. We'll be playing the black pins. Groups tee-off on hole #1 from 4pm to 6pm.

Each Tuesday in April is preseason which means you are accomplishing these things:

1) Calibrating or creating your handicap - Players who have played a league round in the past 3 years will carryover their rounds to form a handicap. April rounds will be added in to help solidify a proper handicap before opening night the first Tuesday in May.

4) Oh yeah...aces count this year in preseason. Hit an ace and get paid!

Once May hits, we'll be playing for points, scoring, CTPs, and most importantly, pride!
