2015 ADGO Bag Tag Season Wrap-Up....

85 players competed in this years ADGO Match Play Finals to battle it out to conclude this years 10 month season! Congrats to Isaac Robinson for his victory and claiming this years #1 tag among some strong local competition from some of Atlanta's top golfers! 85 players competed in this years ADGO Match Play Finals to battle it out to conclude this years 10 month season! Congrats to Isaac Robinson for his victory and claiming this years #1 tag among some strong local competition from some of Atlanta's top golfers! We couldn't have had better weather for a December Sunday as the field was electric and pumped all day. Matches started a few minutes after 8am and by 11am the Final 32 along with the ADGO sponsored Doubles were under way! The entire day proceeded MUCH FASTER than expected (ran approx 2 hours ahead of schedule) as a 2nd round of casual doubles started at 2pm while the final pairing was wrapped up by 3pm!

CTPete Charlton started the day off with a skip ACE on hole 2, first throw and hole of the event with a large gallery watching!

I would like to take this time to thank those involved in making my first year as ADGO Bag Tag Administrator a success as I could have not done this on my own.....

Thank you to our Action Team... Craig Dickerson, Martin Young, Patrick Gwin, Derek Hollis, Lidiane Smith, Barry Arnson and Matt Dollar for running tags at tournaments and helping coordinate and facilitate this years Finals!

Thank you to Martin Young for coordinating and executing his FIVE Bag Tag Invitationals which helped cover the cost of ALL the food/drink provided for the Finals!

Thank you to all the TD's for allowing us to play for tags at your events and supporting us while we use your Tournament Central to run our Action!

Thank you to Bryan Gort for his assistance in filling out the Finals Bracket to help ensure check-in went smooth and Matches started on time!
Having required pre-registration and the brackets filled out BEFORE the Finals was CRUCIAL to the days success!

The bracket will be filled out and posted before the day of the tournament.
The tournament will be single elimination Match Play. The Top 32 get paid.
If you are eliminated before the round of 32, you can play in a FREE random draw doubles match with CASH Payout to the Top 5 teams.

The free doubles will start around the same time as the round of 32.

There will also be some sort of food provided for lunch/snacks.

Basically you get 2 chances at winning money and you get free food!

Registration opens DECEMBER 1ST at 7pm and closes on DECEMBER 10th at 7pm!

ADGO Bag Tag Finals 2015....

We are in the process of discussing the 2015 Finals weekend with this years Finals Coordinator, Matt Dollar. There may or may not be changes to the original pre-announcement of the parameters surrounding this years Finals.

We have been discussing this matter diligently over the past month and should have an answer for the league NO LATER than November 15th.

Finals weekend is still slated for December 12th and 13th to which will NOT change.

Thank you in advance for everyone's understanding and cooperation as we are being forced to make some pretty tough decisions.

EVERY player that qualifies for Sunday is guaranteed to cash as we are paying out the Top 64. If you choose to not play on Sunday, you will default to baseline payout of $20 if you are in the Top 32 from Saturday.

Base Payout for the Finals has been set at $3,000. The ADGO Action Team is working on growing the payout by holding monthly Bag Tag Invitational events at various courses around Atlanta. Each player that attends one of these monthly events has to pay a $3 entry fee (non bag tag players are welcome to pay and play too and get in on any additional side action). The base payout will be updated periodically as the payout amounts change as the cash pool grows

Base Payout will be:

1st - $400
2nd - $300
3rd - $225
4th - $125
5th to 10th - $75 ($450)
11th to 16th - $50 ($300)
17th to 32nd - $35 ($560)
33rd to 64th - $20 ($640)

This will give everyone 7 MONTHS to plan, practice, beg, borrow and steal what they need to prepare for the BIGGEST payout the ADGO has ever had for a bag tag Final.....

Bag Tag Invitational II wrap-up....

This months ADGO Bag Tag Invitational at McCurry presented by Martin Young of the Action Team was another resounding success! Martin was able to raise another $63 towards the end of year Finals event on top of last months $43 from the OP and LMP.

Total year to date Finals payout is at $3,105!!!

Stay tuned for details on May's Bag Tag Invitational to be held on Sunday May 10th at Lula ahead of Hotlanta weekend!

2015 Bag Tag roster is set and entered to the Leaderboard...

ALL 200 TAGS now have a name attached to them and the 2015 player roster is complete and entered on Disc Golf Scene!
As a reminder, please do NOT submit challenge rounds played OR tag updates if it does NOT involve a TOP 30 tag. Doing this will not only help with the administration of this league and the 200 players but will free up YOUR time to not be worrying about submitting entries to the league page after EVERY round played across Atlanta!
Just get out there, have fun and start tracking down those TOP 30's and getting THEM to the course!

2) If you don't have a Disc Golf Scene profile it is HIGHLY recommended that you create one. This way you can get credit for the rounds you play during this league and you will be able to accrue a history of events you play in and be able to link yourself to weekend tournaments!

2015 Bag Tag Kick-Off weekend!!

The dates have been marked and the courses have been set to launch the 2015 Atlanta Area Bag Tag Challenge! Barry and I have decided to involve four (4) different courses across Metro Atlanta over two (2) days to get **200 TAGS** onto the bags of players around town!
Here are the dates, courses, times and BT-Team members assigned for the weekend of February 21st and 22nd....

We will be dividing tags among the 4 parks evenly with no one park getting consecutive numbers (i.e. 1-50 or 51-100 and so on). Each park will get every 4th tag. For example, on Saturday JPM will get every 4th tag starting with #001 and Oregon will get every 4th tag starting with #003. On Sunday, Deer Lick will get every 4th tag starting with #002 and LMP will get every 4th tag starting with #004.
I will be making four SEPARATE events through DGS and the FIRST 50 players to sign up at each event will play that day and time. This is to not have any one park get overwhelmed with a flood of players in any one specific area and time and to also allow flexible scheduling for those that work or plan family time on the weekends.
With this being said, players will only be allowed to choose ONE event to attend over the weekend. If you play on Saturday morning you can NOT attend Saturday afternoon and at all on Sunday. We want these events to FOCUS on getting tags out to the players and not have to worry about dealing with more than 50 players at any course at any time. Only players that check in with the TD's will play for that event time. Players can start challenging others AFTER the events but no going to another event this weekend.
Looking forward to kicking off 2015 in style!
