Goldenrod Doubles Time Change 9/12 Starting at 5:15p.m.

We will be starting at 5:15p.pm. this week as we have lost 10 or so minutes of sunlight from last week. After this week we will be starting at 5:00p.pm. for the remainder of the season.

Goldenrod Doubles Are Still On For Tonight 7/18 @ 6:00p.m.

Doubles are still on tonight despite the heat and humidity. Please keep the conditions in mind if you are coming out tonight and stay hydrated.

Genesis Goldenrod Doubles Is A Go For Tonight 4/18

Sorry about the late announcement but Doubles are ON for tonight. With that being said there will be some adjustments to tonights play. I'm sure most of us know but the course is flooded. This isn't the first time this has happened and we have made it work in the past. There will most likely be a modified layout tonight because of said flooding. Most holes are playable but because of where the flooding is it makes most of the course unpassable, that is it is too much of a pain to get t ... more

Sorry about the late announcement but Doubles are ON for tonight. With that being said there will be some adjustments to tonights play. I'm sure most of us know but the course is flooded. This isn't the first time this has happened and we have made it work in the past. There will most likely be a modified layout tonight because of said flooding. Most holes are playable but because of where the flooding is it makes most of the course unpassable, that is it is too much of a pain to get through to certain areas.

What we did a couple of years ago when this happened was played the holes that gave us the best flow around the course. An example would be, we played 1,2,8,9,10,11,18 and 19, three times for a total of 24 holes. This will be up to whoever is running the show tonight, Rick Hunt, DJ, Slone and/or Kevin and Erika Hill. I can not attend for a while until my teaching duties are done for the year.

Now for the weather. Once again whomever is running the show tonight will be in charge of making the decision on play. If it it is just lightly raining I'm sure there will be play. If it is a torrential downpour, spot decision. If there is severe weather don't push it.

There is a possibility that the round could be started and then a downpour or svere weather comes through. If this happens and the round is called please see the About portion at the top of the page for more on this works with money and payouts.

Official play for tomorrow is canceled. The course is extremley flooded and the gates are closed.

2013 Genesis Goldenrod Doubles Start Tomorrow 4/4 @ 5:00pm

We will be starting league tomorrow at 5:00pm sharp. Please be there and signed up by 4:50pm so we can start promptly. As always, time and sunlight are against us this time of year for the first 4 or 5 wks, so please be early. We will move the start time back once we have enough sun to make sure we can finish the round.

There are a few new things to go over for this year:

As always, the league is free to play (that is, you do not have to put in $5 to play but if you choose not to and you and your partner cash, your partner gets the winnings. (Their choice to cut you in on any if the want but not mandatory).

With that being said, the FTF Board of Directors has decided to start a Course Development Fund in order to raise money for baskets for a possible new course in the area. With the attendance numbers we have been seeing at both leagues (Grod/Holly) steadily climb the last couple of years we thought this would be a good way to generate money for baskets if an opportunity was to present itself for a new course. This has been an issue in the past where we have had the opportunity and/or land but not the money or baskets. This will take care of that.

So this year we will be collecting $1/player/wk, regardless if you choose to play for money or not. If you are playing for money it will be $6 with $5 going to payouts and $1 to the CDF. If you do not play for money then it will be $1 to play which will go to the CDF. This is mandatory and not optional. As always ace pool is optional and is $1 but you must be playing for money.

Also new this year the FTF will be sponsoring some awards (a disc to the winners) to be handed out at the end of the season. They will be:

1) Goldenrod Doubles Champions - points will be awarded weekly and the top 2 point earners at the end of the season will be crowned 2013 Genesis Goldenrod Doubles Champions

2) Most Wins
