Next Sunday (10/13) at Clay will be the League Final, get together, whatever you want to call it. Get there as early as you want but at 10am the festivities will begin.
At 10am I'll hand out the series points winners. With 712$, I'll be paying 12 deep. The leaderboard is at:
http://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/2013_CNYDGA_Wednesday_Night_League/leaderboards
After the series points we'll do some sort of throwoff for the remaining ace pool money. There is 72$ in there, ...

Perfect weather for my last night out this year. Nice and cool and the breeze even died down right before we started. 3 new guys showed up with 2 weeks to go. Zack Parsell sandbagged me and landed in the C pool. He got teamed up with Spencer and they took the gold. First time in weeks Spencer didn't have a little pouty face. Matt Bailey came with the Faes clan and got teamed up with E-Mac. Lastly Jake Peters got to play with a Courbat. Clay brought out the crowds again. We had 43 p ... more
A hot, and oppressively humid night was just what Dylan and Luscious Luciano Legend needed to destroy the competition. A 5 stroke margin of victory was impressive. Good to see Brad and Gilmore back, it's been a few weeks. Josh was wondering if it's possible to come in last 2 weeks in a row...I think you answered that yourself. Despite the poor level of play by me and my partner, it was still an enjoyable night. 29 showed and the top spots were:
Dylon Hot Fire/Legendary - 42 - ...

So Hoop and I finally caught Billy. Now we can battle for 15th on the final night. Yippee!
Another exciting night for sure. Jeremy brought out Josh Hess for his first time...and came in dead last with Westy. Nate Smith continued to reign terror over the CTP. Luciano almost got 10 aces. Last but not least Fran Daher cashed, won his CTP and Aced again. He just aced at JVB a month ago and has taken home 329$ worth of ace money. IRS has been notified. 30 showed and the top spots were:
McCabe/West - 44 - 52$
Crowley/Cady - 45 - 32$
Basilio/Carney - 47 - 24$
KC/Fran - 48 - 18$

A little cool and a little breezy, but otherwise a great night for golf. The Daher brothers made it out again, EMac happened to be in town and even the Newmans made their first public golf league appearance...Some pretty big headlines. Fly boy O'Malley and Chainsaw Spencer took the gold handedly. Be sure to check out the leaderboards on DG Scene, a lot of movement. Finally Billy is out of the top 10 so I can save a stamp by not having to send him series points money. 26 showed and the ... more
Either the threat of rain or the threat of Dylan spitting hot fire kept most away. A light turnout but a great time. Dylan continued his dominance and is now only 8 points from Crowley who is off at pro worlds this week. A surpise showing from 2 hippies coming in 2nd was the highlight of the night. 24 showed and the top spots were:
Dylan/Cady - 45 - 48$
Jarad/Me - 47 - 28$ (that bogey on 18 didn't matter buddy)
Barret/Westy - 48 - 18$
DEmac - 48 - 18$

Finally we're done with that gravel pit for the season. The island on 9 got a little squirrely, but not for Dylan and King James. 42 was the low score and proved to be untouchable. Fran brought out his brother James for his first night and Don was nice enough to help him win his money back and then some. Mark Falinski brought out Andrew Ellis and oddly enough they got paired up. Hopefully you guys come back for more. 34 showed and the top spots were:
Dylan/King James - 42 - 56$

A steamy night kept all but the hardcores away. Mark Falinski was the new guy and got teamed up with Luciano. 22 showed and the top spots were:

KC/Laufer - 46 - 28$
Crowley/Guerdon - 47 - 12$
Jarad/Nate - 47 - 12$
Westy/*D* - 47 - 12$
CTPs;
A pool was Dylan on hole 3 for 7$.
B pool was Salisbury on hole 5 for 8$. I hear his shot was an ace, but those JVB baskets spit it out...bummer.
C pool was Cady on hole 6 for 7$.
Big news of the night was Fran Daher ...

Things started out a little hectic when we realized that 4 baskets were still out of the ground from the balloon and jazz fest. We scrambled together and got 3 back in the ground and Jason G had a practice basket in his car that we were able to use for the 4th. For a while it looked like it was going to be a short round (not Indiana Jones' li'l friend). Tammy from B'lo and Tait Kowalski were the newest additions. No playoffs for places this week, but the B pool CTP was so clo ... more
Either the threat of weather or the holiday kept people away. Lightest night yet with 28 folks. Luciano brought out Nate Smith for his first time. 2 teams shot 44, so we had a playoff again...Top spots were:

Carny/Purdy - 44 - 32$

BASILIO WINS BIG…What a night…finally the ace pool has been tapped! Ben went live and pured 7 for a 300$ payday, oh, and it was also his CTP hole, and he was in the cash. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy! In other news, Billy lost in a playoff again for 1st. Thank Spencer and Tony D for that. Good to see Kevin Duchano out since the birth of his baby. This week I was able to get some people down in B pool, just be sure to check ... more
With this ace pool getting out of control, league managment had a meeting regarding it yesterday.
The ace pool will be capped at 300$. All cash above 300$ will be rolled over into the following ace. If someone aces on Wednesday, there will still be around 150$ in there for the next ace...It's more equitable for everybody.
Like last year, all remaining ace pool money will be shot off for at the league final on Sunday, October 13. Last year we had about 300$ and everyone present had ...

Another perfect night...cool, sunny and bug free. A few new guys and a few was haven't seen in a while made it out. Zach Lane, Damion, King James, Pat Cady and Tucker Middleton made the trek. Sorry Tucker for getting teamed up with Karl. There was a 2 way tie for first with Crowley/Gilmore and Sivils/'Doah shooting hot 45's. We started a sudden death playoff starting from the practice area up to #1. Gary put it 25' out and nailed the deuce....Billy put it within 20' ... more
Rain Tuesday, no rain Wednesday, rain Thursday...see the trend? Had a bunch of new people and some old faces that haven't been around in a while. It was great to see the Demillos, Trip and Mike Dudczak back. Showing up for the first time was Mike Thomas, Amanda Thomas, George Sclavos and Luscious Luciano Legend. That's not really his last name, but I couldn't spell his real one. Awesome weather yet again lured 42 people to Oxbow last night. I'm sure the 360$ ace pool h ... more
Great turnout again last night. Pam and Reena made it back out....Josh Catron made the burn down from Carthage...and, Kilbury, on his first night this year even brought his own partner. It was a nice cool, bug free evening at Oxbow. 37 showed and the top spots were:

Started out a little dicey with what looked like a tornado touching down right before we started, but like some kind of disc golf Moses I raised up my iPad and the skies parted with t-storms both north and south of the park...not a drop of rain and blue skies and sunshine were what we had to deal with. Thanks for the patience using my new system. I think it saved a lot of time and hassle. It is truly randomized teams. Two new playes showed up, Zach Tiner and Richie Peryea of the Faes clan. ... more
The DG Gods won out and kept the T-storms away all night. It's funny how many times we've gotten great weather with an 80% chance of storms. No new players last night, but still had 39 show up. A great turnout for sure. Top spots were:

40 golfers showed up on a gusty night at Clay, including newbies Allen "Tex" Price, Ryan "Happy" Gilmore, and Matt Bailey's Irish Cream. We all drank the Kool-Aid and donated to the Eric McCabe pocket money fund, except for Doah, who benefited from a clerical error and ended up going from X-Man to McCabe's partner. CTP $ went to Ass-Man, Heart-Man and Oz-Man. Kudos to Clements, Sweet and Don Courbat for helping out. I'll let Doug update the Ace Pool, but we should be over $200 and counting.
Just when it looked like we'd only have 24 people, 7 showed up at the last minute despite the rain. Lucas West and Pat Hulle came out for their first night of league. It looked like it'd be a washout, but we only got a little light rain. A nice cool night for sure. The way the talent was distributed we just did A/B pool. Looking at the results, it seemed to work out fine. Laufer got the short end of the stick by being teamed up with the X-man with a hurting arm. All he said was, ... more
What a turnout. A perfect day turned out a record crowd. 48 people came out for Wednesday league! With all the mayhem I may not have gotten all the new folks names correctly, so please correct me if I'm wrong. Francis (didn't get last name), John Buckley, Pam Murray, Reena Rowland, Dave Hartmann, Damion McDonald and Evan Willams all made it out for the first time. It was good to have Steve Ball and Sean Gallagher back as well. Audra has done pretty well for herself...2 times out ... more
The rain didn't seem to keep anyone back last night. The wind was the real issue! Brad Bowman made it to his first league night and Tim Cartner who made it out a couple times last year joined us as well. A clerical error on my part led to a couple powerhouse teams...I promise that won't happen again. 32 people showed and the top spots were:
KC/Dylan R. - 46 - 54$ (this was one mistake)
Peters/Salisbury - 47 - 30$ (this was the other)
Crowley/N.Faes - 47 - 30$

A perfect night at Jamesville Beach lured 39 golfers out on the first night of league. This number topped our biggest night last year, which was 38. A lot of new faces that hopefully we'll see more often. Thanks to Audra Zentner, Don Himes, Dean Needle, Dylan Reese and John O'Malley for coming out for their first time. Elias McQuaid made out a couple times last year, but it was good to see him back as well. Sorry he got teamed up with Barret. 3 of the new people got some cash, wh ... more
Just a reminder that the CNY Wednesday night league starts this Wednesday at Jamesville Beach. I'll draw names at 5:15 sharp. My number is 315-415-3660 if you have any questions. It will be A/B/C pool random draw best shot doubles. 10$/week. Thanks and hope to see a good turnout.

Two weeks left and one point separating first and second! Talk about going down to the wire.
