Week 8 - Final Week - Double Points - BRING IT!

It is bittersweet to say that tonight is the last night of official leagues at Valley View for the year. Granted, we'll likely have some pick up games here and there and we do see each other at many fall tournaments but none the less, it's been great.

Double points will factor into almost every single division tonight to determine who is the FALL league champions and runner-ups. I hear that 2 aces were hit in my absence last week so that means the ace pool has reset. Congrats to ... more

It is bittersweet to say that tonight is the last night of official leagues at Valley View for the year. Granted, we'll likely have some pick up games here and there and we do see each other at many fall tournaments but none the less, it's been great.

Double points will factor into almost every single division tonight to determine who is the FALL league champions and runner-ups. I hear that 2 aces were hit in my absence last week so that means the ace pool has reset. Congrats to the 'acers' as well as Jonny V for nearly getting that elusive -18.

We'll be heading to BW3's right after league as usual and there we will do the final tallying of points as well as give away the FREE basket to a lucky mulligan winner. You MUST be present to win the 2nd and 3rd prizes but you do not have to be to win the grand prize basket.

I look forward to seeing all of you tonight and I hope everyone shoots their personal best score!

Don't forget that we have the Valley View Glow & Throw III this weekend! One round in the daylight, free dinner, then one round at night. It will be a great time.

It appears that we only have 3 weeks left here in the fall league and it looks like everyone is shooting pretty well and enjoying themselves. Major props to both Dustin and Mike H for helping take care of league details while I was out of town on Sep 22nd.

It appears that we only have 3 weeks left here in the fall league and it looks like everyone is shooting pretty well and enjoying themselves. Major props to both Dustin and Mike H for helping take care of league details while I was out of town on Sep 22nd.

Speaking of leaving town - it appears that the nightly averages increase across almost all divisions whenever I'm not around. Brad W pulling down an impressive -16 and Severson returns to form with his -11. Paul Johnson wasn't messing around while shooting his -10 and Loriena had a pretty good round herself with a +5.

One final heads up - next week (week 7) will be 2 disc night. Week 8 will be divisional and worth ... DOUBLE POINTS as always.

Double Banging on Double Points Night

Sure this title has been used before but tonight is in fact a big night - DOUBLE POINTS. Bring your A Game and a friend to beat because this is a great chance to play catch up to anyone you might be trailing.

All divisions have a pretty good battle for the top 3 (or more) spots and tonight just adds to the drama.

There is a chance of rain tonight but last time I checked it said it won't roll in until around 9pm. However, even if it gets here a little before that, we're still ... more

3 Weeks in which brings us 2 disc night

That's right - you're only allowed to bring out 2 discs for this week's round. Over the years we've found that people typically shoot better than their average when they bring out just 2 discs. I guess that tells you something ... or doesn't it? We'll find out Wednesday night.

This might also be the last week we can start at 6. Looks like we might need to be on the course by 6 otherwise we'll risk darkness. Please get there early so we can stay prompt!
