Enjoy the new layout. Great use of the land. Will only get better as the fairways and around the baskets get cleaned up.

New layout is nice. Shorts/longs on every hole with nice big cement pads and new baskets.

In terrible disarry from recent logging. golfed with some locals that said course is not what it used to be.

cut down all the fun, man i hate to say it but i miss the trees..........

This course is quick, fun and easy. Except it is very sloppy, wood chunks everywhere, knocked over/vandalized tee poles, etc. Very hard to navigate. And from my experience the people are quite rude. Still fun though.

Short and technical wooded course with short and long cement pads, adequate tee signs but no next hole directional signs. The layout is a bit confusing in a few areas.

love the course, shorter holes but in the tree's, gives a little more challenge than most courses around

Mostly woods holes with water in play on one hole. Some elevation on a few holes and they used the land well to make the 18 in the layout they did. Interesting flight paths for most holes. Remember to bring the bug spray and water.

Course was a pretty nice warm up on the way to shore acres but the messed up by tearing all the trees down on the front...

Tight, unforgiving fairways. Most holes are short but it's still a fun course.

they have nearly gutted all of the trees that made this course. right now it looks like a hurricane hit this course and left only the baskets. course is playable but looks no where near the same. right now there are branch remnants covering the entire course and some fairways.

thread the needle, thread the needle. work on your aim. good putt.
+0 votes David Loggins › July 20, 2011
Every basket is reachable with a putter from the tee pad. League play is prohibited so nobody maintains the course. Absolute casual nightmare, always someone out there breaking trees that "blocked their shot". The only good thing about Winstrom is you can always get an easy ace.

Sure they may have taken down a bunch of trees, but it's not bad at all. They left some trees up in challenging spots which opens the game up to all player levels. Not real easy to navigate so be sure to go with someone who has played it before.

Great Mid-Range course. My first course and I will miss it evermore.

As some of my friends say it "windstrom is like Mr. Meagie teaching you how to play disc golf" makes you learn how to get around tight corners, control is key to this short but challenging course.

dont twist an ankle. seems like a bomb went off. down trees and branches everywhere. some really dangerous set ups. you have to double back across at least 2 holes. there was no one else there so it wasn't a problem. avoid if busy!!

This course has progressed since the start of summer. They cleared out a ton of trees and appear to still be in the process of cleaning things up. Every time I play here there is more debris that has been cleaned up. The course plays very narrow, hole 18 is really the the only hole with any distance. I like the course though as it is only a 10 minute drive from my cottage.

Would be a great course with better navigation and if they cleaned up all the tree debris laying around.

I was told that this used to be a challenging, very short course. The course fits beginners like myself, but only to a degree. With the majority of the trees removed due to disease and some not being indigenous to the area, what is left is something out of a war movie (minus bodies and scorched earth).

This was my home course, I started my first year or two of disc golf here. While it wasn't exactly the greatest course before the trees came out, it's worse now. It looks like a tornado hit it, BUT, it is still very much playable. Almost all of the holes are birdy midranges, but hey, those are fun too.

Ok course if you want to get a quick one in...trees have mostly been cut down to open the course up more..trash everywhere no benches no garbage cans crap signs...yet I want to go back and hit aces, nothing special...if you live close by its good course but not worth driving far for

A quick course that's in pretty rough shape. Very confusing for first timers to figure out where to go as most holes are next to multiple others with a great lack of signs. Nice as a beginner due to easy to par holes.

This is a technical course. Plenty of challenging shots on tight fairways. The rough is rough- you won't lose any discs but you will lose strokes if you dont hit your line.
Great teepads, longs and shorts. Great signs as well. Elevation comes into play on some holes. Giant course map by hole 1 to help with navigation.
It reminds me of a cross between Smash and Reed park.

Not as bad as I was expecting (but I've heard a lot of bad reviews). The course itself was fun (albeit short). Where this course lacks is signage and litter clean-up. It could be a great course if the regulars took care of it or some sort of club was formed to be responsible for it. Confusing layout, but the people I ran into were helpful enough to point me in the right direction.

If you don't take pride in your course you will get a Winstrom. People cut down trees, take down signs leave trash. No navigation sucks! I had fun on the course, short ace runs through the round. First last time playing course.

Great putter/mid course. All about accuracy. Shoot hole 17 from the sidewalk and shoot hole 18 from pad 17 = way better course.
+0 votes Trevor Hofman › June 17, 2015
Hole 14 is a little bit mucky but other than that it's a well kept course.

Lots of Trees cut down but nice short course good for practicing approach shots
+0 votes Joseph Wierzbicki › November 23, 2024
It seems like each year more trees get cut down. Also this tends to be occupied with the most stereotypical stoner disc golf bros. It's a good starter course for beginners, but doesn't really challenge one to get better at disc golf.
+0 votes Jonah Zimmerman › May 23, 2016
Like this course a lot. Down side to it is that it is easy to lose discs in the shrubs and it is also a sandy course.
+0 votes Curtis Gardner › May 30, 2018
Updated for the new layout! Championship level long tees and a super fun shorts layout make this course a solid A+, good to see some homage to the old layouts too!

clear cutting is making progress, autumn is going to be beautiful at this course.

Course is great and has been a great challenge.. wish it had a little better design for hole layout but love to play it
+0 votes Jack Zimmerman › May 3, 2021
Some tight holes, trees throughout. A little confusing on the layout. But overall think we'll be back.
-1 votes Steve Hultquist › October 31, 2024
after park township so intelligently removed 85% of the trees it seemed to lose its luster. :(
-1 votes Jamie Vincent › April 25, 2015
Has teepads. And is super easy. Ya I love it..can't rate it to hard because of how short and easy it is..lots of people were playing..cement pads with 18 older baskets

this course was under constrution there were hundreds of trees being taken out it looked like a ---- went off! the couse had alot of good shots for a shot course it was made in a small area but alot of fun!
-3 votes Leo Martinez › October 31, 2024
Played this course in high school ('07 grad) when it was super wooded and fun lines to try and hit. Went back and was super disappointed to see many of the tress cut down and super sloppy everywhere. This course went from super fun to super dull!

The only reason i didnt fail this course is because it was fairly well maintained and had cement tees. Every hole is almost identical and they are all very short. One hole is 94' straight ahead. Every hole has ridiculous pin placement and very narrow fairways. It is impossible to navigate because there arent any next tee pointers. The only hole worth playing is hole 18 nice anhyzer...but that is it.
