This was the first 18 hole course in the coastal bend. (at that time Ingleside was a 9 hole course with compost filled pits for tee boxs) Time has taken it's toll on Guth. Trees on Holes 2, 9, 11 blue, 12, 13, and 15 that once added to the challenge of the course are dead and gone. Erosion has ruined a signature hole on hole 5. Local have improved basket placement on hole 1 (tough hole, great challenge) but tee box placement on red 3, red 6, red 12 and both tees on 17 need to return to original ...

Nice park style course with some elevation, which is unusual for the coastal bend. Definitely worth checking out.

Played course while I was visiting my son. What a mess...grass was so high, mosquitoes were everywhere, and no tee pads that were level and safe to throw off of. Since I had never played, had no idea where I was going from tee to tee. Luckily I ran into a few folks that helped me around the course. This probably was a nice course at some point, but lack of maintenance has ruined. Would not recommend at current state.

Very nice course for big arms. Would have liked a couple of wooded or tunnel or obstacle type holes for variety. Course needs some love, would love to see some concrete tee pads added and some new tee markers or at least a fresh paint job as the markers are difficult to find and numbers have worn off.

Course is pretty well up kept, only once have I played where tall grass was an issue. This on the city, not the group. Blue Tee Pads are a little short but that's better than nothing. There will be Red Tee Pads added. As a beginner, I hated this course for it's long, open drives with the heavy winds here but I have started to enjoy it more as I develop my game. Third Coast has put a lot of great effort into the course and I can't wait to see what it holds for the future.
