Closest thing to a course in the verm/amherst area. The good - it is fun for the family so if you have toocool for disc golf teenagers it is a nice hideaway park with other things to do. Some of the holes are fun to throw and in reverse actually plays better. The bad - hole 1 basket is really low not sure why. Hole 4 is basically a jump putt??. hole 6 is an upshot?? Hole 7 the best line is dead smack in the parking area and pedestrians have no clue. Hole 8 (best hole) as long as there isn't a pi ...

Baskets are really low to the ground, but it's better than no course at all for the locals. The water doesn't really come in to play unless you throw way off target. Distance disc only came out of the bag twice and I only throw about 250' with it.

2/27/17: WARNING Took my dog and companion for walk here, brought frisbee for couple tosses and for dog's water. We were interrogated and frisked by park ranger who was convinced that we had "a can". We did not. He was suspicious of us and snooped because we were "off the path". Be very careful and mind your butt at any Lorain County Metro Park! Its not so much a course as 11 baskets dropped in ground. Sub recreational because of holes in direct conflict with other park activities, posted ...

If you are traveling north, it's the second park on the left. From the south, it's the first park on the right. Pull into the first parking area and the first tee is at the entrance to the lot. For some reason, the first basket is lower than the other baskets. Tee three is across the road and then it's pretty easy to figure out from there. I enjoyed this little rec course. Definite chances to ace. Mostly open with some hazards, usually on the left side. After the 9th basket, head into th ...

Very nice park with a gorgeous river running through it. I had about as much fun walking through the park as I did disc golfing. The course is just an open layout small park course. Nothing spectacular. It's not terrible and has a few cool holes. It's listed as a nine holer but there were 11 holes when I played it. The layout was different than the map so there must have been a redesign at some point. Worth a stop if your in the area.
