Somers CT 9-Hole Wooded Course

Somers is a work in progress. Heavily wooded that is testing out a possible DG area. The town is heavy into sports and recreation and it makes sense to add this sport to the community. Especially since the course is set in the wooded section of a public park and in the backyard of the high school (which is surrounded by all the town schools). Especially since the course is set in the wooded section of a public park and in the backyard of the high school (which is surrounded by all the town schools).
The course is positioned so that it doesn't have the usual congested traffic of other parks. It would be great to see 9 more holes placed among the open areas of the park. The wooded section tests all shots but is a short course. The tee pads need to be installed and the signs/ posts need to be moved in a more appropriate position for throwers.
This could be an amazing course but the past year (2024) hasn't seen much grooming since its inception in 2023.
