HI I know I am late to the party. But I have lost a few discs last year and just realized there is a drop box.

These are the discs I lost. How do I check if they were turned in?

I believe you need to contact the city parks department during their normal business hours.

How is everyone feeling about the new layout? The added distances on 7, 8, 11 and 12 make a difference

Sorry I haven't commented sooner. I like the new layout. Having some more distance makes the course a little more interesting. I didn't make it to Mills as much this summer with baseball and then football practices. But I definitely enjoy the adjustments. Probably prefer it over the 18 hole layout.

Thanks Kyle. New signage and the new T-box placement will be taking place soon on hole 7 and 9 ( they will move back about 20' and 60' respectively

Marc E    July 20, 2016 at 11:05pm

Changes have been made. Please do not throw discs at old baskets or from old T-pad locations. these area will be sodded when the temperatures go down. The old T pad markings on the pathway will also be painted over.

Changes coming soon to Mills course it will be less holes 12 to be precise. Some longer shots and to stop the impedance of disc going over fences and causing the neighbors grief. Please DO NOT knock on neighbors doors, DO NOT climb fences to retrieve discs. This does not help the course. Be good citizens please!

Which holes? Noticed 2 holes gone already.

Marc E   July 18, 2016 at 3:52pm

1 thru 6 stay the same 7 becomes longer, 8 goes to the old 11 using hole 9 t-pad, 12 moves back no basket change but becomes hole 9, 14 becomes 10, hole 11 gets pushed back goes to #16 basket and 17 t-pad goes to hole 18 now the new twelve. hope that makes some sense.

With the coming of spring the sports start to pick up at Mills Park. This is a multi use park. Lacrosse, Soccer, and baseball will be starting soon. Please be aware that at time certain holes might be unplayable namely 5,6 and sometimes 7. I know this may be an inconvenience to some of you. Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM holes 5 and 6 will definitely not be playable. Most sports will end by 6:00 PM on week nights. Sunday the course is wide open. Thanks for your patience in the spring time an ... more

I'm starting a League at Mills park for the remainder of the winter starting January 2nd, it will be every Saturday I'm thinking at 1 pm. there will be 4 divisions Pro, Am, Womens, Masters. There will be a point system as well and top 10 players in each division will be in a final 9 tourny at Freedom Hills Park in Centerville the following Saturday after the last week at Mills Park there will be added cash too! There will be discs for sale every week. Let me know who is interested in this!

I think I would be interested. I think I could round up about 5 to six more people also. Thanks Ryan for doing this.

The course has had some trees added in the last few days. Hole 11 will be a little more challenging and so will 13 in a few years. Trees were added along holes 15 and 16 also to protect the home owners homes and properties. I am pleased to announce that there have been no complaints from homeowners after the T boxes were moved and the trees just provide extra protection. I want to thank all the players that play here for keeping the trash down. The park has had less garbage and vandalism after t ... more

There have been some changes to the course. Holes 10, 11 and 16 t boxes are moved. 10 has become a little harder with the trees in front of the basket. 11 is located on the pathway just north of where it was this hole is a little longer now and 16 is about 30-35 ft longer. T box signs will be updated and moved to the T-boxes. Enjoy the new layout.

Good to hear that changes are being made. I really feel bad for the neighbors here. The ones on the South fence line really got a rude awakening when they woke up and there were tee pads being poured directly on their fence line. In my opinion, 9 good, safe, challenging holes would have been a bette ... more

Please spread the word that Climbing fences to retrieve discs is prohibited. The neighbors surrounding the park are feed up with trespassing and damage done to their property. A drop box system has been put up and if disc are marked I will call you and tell you where you can pick them up at. The course was put up for enjoyment for all, but not if people do not act like adults and follow the rules. The few that are behaving poorly are going to ruin it for the rest. Police the course and call out the rule breakers.

I agree! I call out rule breakers all the time, and actually had to quit playing with a couple friends over this course, because they did not want to follow the rules of climbing fences, and smoking and drinking.

Marc E    July 27, 2015 at 8:24pm
