Had never been here. Everyone I came across on the course was super friendly. Quickly figured out why they call it The Rats Nest but I left for home with all the plastic I came with. No complaints. Loved it. Not a Spoiled brat who gives poor grades for no concrete tee pads and or mosquito. Hello...this is Michigan..summer + water+ woods= mosquitos. Didn't take away from how fun the course was.

Great course! I was thrilled to hear that Rycenga would be reborn and even more ecstatic once I was able to play it due to the fact that it is an excellent course. There are many trash cans and "butt cans" throughout the course greatly reducing unsightly litter. With the addition of tee pads this course would be perfect! I am very thankful for the hard work put in by the Rat Pack and look forward to any improvements they decide to make.

The Rats Nest is the perfect name for this disc golf specialized course. The front 9 is flat, heavily wooded and technical with tight fairways and unforgiving rough. Strategy with shot selection is a must to stay in landing zones. A course map is posted at the front entrance along with a portajohn. The course was mowed and well maintained with benches, chairs and trash cans. Hole 7 is the short short signature hole with an elevated basket in front of a pond that will most likely require a death ...

The course is obviously new and still very rustic, but the layout is very technical and it should age well. The shule is punishing in places, making shot selection critical. Improved tees would be nice but I wouldn't mark a new course down for a lack of such. I'd rather have a course and wait for concrete teepads than not have a course to play. With some traffic this will be a fantastic course in a year.

I was pleasantly surprised by this course. Things seem to be coming along nicely. Fun to play. Only a couple of holes that I didn't like. Glad we checked this one out while we were in the area. Nice to have many of the tee pads in the shade throwing out into the open.

This is a fun course, but it was soaked and very muddy. Concrete tee pads would be a nice addition too, since the dirt pads turn into mud pits. Course layout is decent, the holes through the woods are fun. I enjoyed the last 9 holes a bit more than the first 9. I'd go back and play, perhaps in late summer or fall when it dries up. Worth checking out though!

Really compact corse. Fairways are really tight. Wooded holes don't seem to have a fairway, quite a few poke and hope holes. Sinage needs work as well.

fun course to play, my favorite in the muskegon/norton shores area. it's a new course but in the next couple years it will shape up nicely with more traffic going through there. hopefully that includes cement tee pads and some trimming of the weeds

great course a lot of work was put in to make this location playable. A lot of brush had to be cleared Great Job to everyone who helped make this course possible. It is still in progress but great as it is my rating will get better as the course gets more play.

Very swampy after the rains. Needs cement tee pads in the worst way. Better signage for hole-to-hole navigation.
If the above can be corrected, this is a great course. Very challenging shots on every hole.

This course is good if your looking for short holes. For the advanced player most holes are easy and short. The level of difficulty and lack of tee pads make it ok but I wouldn't go out of my way to play it. Also pay attention to the posts it's not the easiest course to navigate.

Fun New Course .....Now that the course has been played on a lot and more trees are gone along with new benches and trash cans being added I can edit my review...a lot of good lines on this course so far. I believe some tee pads will be moved back making the course harder also with alternate baskets possibly...this course will only get better i

Its my favorite course in the area Technical shots and very good basket placement. Would be a solid A when tee pads are in place. Love that the course is maintained and worked on constantly. The course is very cared for and improves on a regular basis.

Well done Lakeshore Disc Golf Club. Great course and well maintained. I think this is one of the better courses on the West Çoast of Michigan, ace runs, long bombers, some tight fairsways, thread the needle through pines, and some rollaway greeñs. Has a port a potty but no water. Like that they had score cards and plenty of trash receptacles that are used and plenty of benches. I had fun here so much played the course twice.First course I played that had a double mando, I parked it for a birdie.

could use some grooming of bushes and such. could be an amazing course if they had some $$ to go in a clean up alot of the rough patches. too many blind shots for that much brush. Good design

The Rats Nest! Lots of different shots, plenty of secret passages and openings to greens, although most holes do require some touch shots.

Pretty dam fun course. Skeeters will eat ya. Not good tee pad areas but very technical. I have had a lot of fun playing here. I lost 1 disc in my career and it was here, It was returned when it was found. Very nice people play here. Go Rats!

I love that this course is constantly improving. The concrete tees definitely add to the course. Definitely a technical course with not many open holes.

My only complaint is that this is one of the last courses in the area to be dry enough to play and have fun. I did notice on my last visit that they've added a lot of mulch, sand, and soil to try to elevate some of the fairways and the areas around the baskets. But overall a fun technical course.

This course is still quite rough when I played it has a ways to go but has a great layout with some ground clearing and getting rid of the poison ivy it could be a great course for the area

some very tight lines that punish the casual player. some holes are throw and hope you get lucky. could be made better by removing some trees and small bushes

Fun course with lots of local love. Bridgess and boards everywhere to help keep your feet dry..Pin placements could be moved around to better suit the hole..OB in some strange places and a fair amount of mandatory. Well worth a play.

Decent shorter course. Very, very new. Definitely needs some trees removed on a couple of holes to make the lines more reasonable. Has potential. Definitely not worn in yet,

Lots of scrub bushes and tall grass, can be a pain if you miss the fairway.

I liked the holes in the woods better, some are very short, but not easy. I think some trimming / small tree removal would make a few of the holes more fair.

Natural tee pads are always a bummer. Hopefully something better to come.

I think this will be a C+/B- level with some improvements.

Nice setup, an overhead map at the start. Good signage. A bit muddy right now. The first nine become a bit easy after a few plays. The back nine are more of a challenge. Still new, lots of work being put in. Not much change in elevation or shot variety, but they did well with the land they had to work with.

Make sure to bring the bug spray. Lots of mosquitos and lots of rough. A good challenging course for recreational players with a few longer holes.

Hated the course. Looks very nice but it has very short holes kinda easy. Really needs some work done. Dirt pads and muddy is always a bumner. If you just happen to land off the fairways you are in for a long search for your disc. Course is a joke.
