PINE KNOLL COURSE IS NOW ALL METAL BASKETS!! The Hanson Hills Disc Golf Club has raised enough money through League Play 2014, and has donated 9 new Chainstar baskets to replace the Wood Baskets!!

Kinda sad to hear this. I really liked the wooden baskets (even if they aren't quite as sturdy and reliable as the new ones will be). Better course play is always nice though.

Is there a fee to get into the park at all? I'm not from the area and would like to know if I need to take some cash when I go to play.

Bug spray, and wear either pants or long socks if you play as Steve put it the big boy course.

Robert Kraut   July 29, 2014 at 11:34am

oh also bring cash anyway and donate!

Cory Hulbert   July 29, 2014 at 12:05pm

I had planned on that, I always try to donate whenever I can. And thanks for the heads up.

What's the condition of the course? I'll be up there this weekend, should I bring boots?

No snow on the course. Pine Knoll was a little soggy on a couple holes from the rain we had but other than that, both courses are in great shape

Thanks a ton for the quick response Ryan and Hanson Hills. Look forward to checking out the course. When are the new baskets going in?

Talked to park director today and no baskets are missing. They moved those holes for a few days for a tournament. Course is actually getting more holes soon so no worries.

Baskets are not missing.. We pulled them and set up a Modified course connecting the Pine Knoll course to the PDGA course for a fundraising tournament that week.. I apologize that Signs were not posted explaining this.. ALL BASKETS ARE BACK IN THEIR NORMAL SPOT.

Looks like there are reports of missing baskets in the review section. Does anyone that plays here know if this is still true. We are heading up for the fourth of july weekend and are looking to play here.

Oh, and somebody should take some pictures of the championship caliber course during its full summer swing... those fall pictures are great, but probably don't do the course justice in its full natural summer beauty...
