Gemmill Park is located in the town of Almonte, ON. The course is free to play. There's a mix of grass, brick, and turf tee pads. They have good baskets! Great use of the available land in a free to play public park. Good mix of wooded and open holes, some elevation as well.
A gem(mill) of a course for a small town.

Shorter scenic course through the natural area of the park, with a mix of open and wooded holes, and a good amount of topography. Several very challenging holes, especially in the woods where the fairways are sometimes quite narrow, and considerable shot shaping is required. Tee pads are almost all installed, and signage is good. Can be a little wet/muddy in the lower areas down by the creek, depending on season and recent precipitation. Overall, a great experience!

As far as free to play courses go this is the best option in Eastern Ontario. Not a lot of bomber holes but a lot of technical shots, some water carries and elevation. Three tee layouts with tee pads on most of the Blue tees (more being installed this summer)
