Very challenging, but enjoyable course to play! Great mix of long open field throws with some controlled precision throws in the woods. The geography is very different and enjoyable as well. The back 9 has a portion of holes that I refer to as "Mars" because the dry red clay and desert feel make it seem like you're on another planet. Very cool stuff! Overall one of my favorite courses to date by far! If playing on a sunny, hot day bring sun block and an umbrella for shade if you have one.

Pros: -Good mix of open and wooded holes with elevation.
-Beautiful river runs beside it.
-Course has a ton of upside.
-Outstanding baskets.
Cons: -Still working on concrete tee pads (coming soon!)
-Current tees are marked by stakes. (Permanent tee signs coming soon.)
Other Thoughts: I tried this course out for the first time this week. I would say this course will definitely give up some birdies, but there are quite a few challenging holes as well. There is a great mix of fun open holes ...

Dolly Cooper has gone through a makeover, since the last reviews. Most of the teas are now concrete and a lot of the brush and shrubs have been removed. Beautiful park next to the river, good mix of open and woods and great use of elevation. Thanks to all of you who have made this course, that much better.

This course is beautiful, fun and challenging. Most tee pads are not concrete but are of some kind of brillow pad looking turf, which I did not mind at all, for me the course was challenging and thanks to signage and markers at every hole very easy to navigate and easy to keep an acurate score. It looks as though Dolly Cooper Park is still under going construction, so parking may be a little janky but seriously...these guys are doing it right.
A+ for me and I am very excited to see the finished product.

Fun course in a pretty location near the Saluda River. All holes are par 3, but that doesn't mean getting birdies is easy, even for intermediate to advanced players. There's plenty of elevation changes and tight lines to hit off most tees. The layout requires different shot shapes for variety and challenge. As a relatively new player, I really enjoyed my first round here (even though I was well over par :-)) and I'm looking forward to playing again. Definitely worth playing if you're visiting Greenville.
